RCCL email to C&A members touts discounts

Recommended Posts

Royal Caribbean is trying to entice loyalty members with discounts.

In an email to Crown+Anchor members, RCCL touts "exclusive" prices.

I tested the deal with some 1-week cruises from Florida ports.

The great prices are only for inside cabin & they choose the cabin.

Want to choose the cabin? That's about another $150 _per person_.

Want an oceanview or balcony? No savings ($1000+ /week/person).

Again, with an upcharge for choosing your cabin.

... No thanks. When there's a real sale, I'll think about it...

Plenty of good prices if you take the time to look online. Then switch to a ship you prefer a year later. 😉😇

That seems like an interesting strategy, which I'm not aware of. Care to elaborate?

Life & Shift.  Price protected for a cruise one year later, plus or minus 4 weeks.

Well, I get $1806 for the 7 night, but the JS on Empress is only a smidgeon larger than the D on Independence.  It  has a much smaller bathroom with no tub.

Just a fyi, cant lift and switch majesty out of nola to anything but another majesty out of nola. Per my TA

Revenue made a list of allowed lift and switches. Someone before me could, I was denied.

I'm just hoping I get all my booked rcl cruises. I like them all. 5 booked now I havent told my family about, one at a time is all they can handle. Well one is one too many..

Some got a huge price drop on liberty jan 3rd. Didnt help me, but maybe doesnt apply to all solo bookings. I think they said military discount on that liberty. So there are deals out there.

A poster above said the big discount he saw was on gty bookings... they are cheaper on my cruise too, but doesnt help solos. But I'm happy with my price.

My personal problem is they have not refunded all my money ftom my april b2b.

And they have not applied my fcc to one of my cruises. And its been a month.

Does not matter to me who I sail with. When I sail. So til they get their act together.......

I actually misspoke,  the Jan 21 trip was Jewel, sorry.  My previous L&S was Empress

Empress and Majesty are both site seeing in the English channel. Hope they are waiting to bring crew back to the states and not something else worse. Both are favorites of ours. Hope to sail on Empress early in December.

Much better ship, IMO.  (sure, I like the Empress, but I love the Jewel)

Good to hear, I got a b2b on jewel next feb, I sure hope I get. I think we started something saying we booked the perfect day cruise, now a bunch all saying hey me too.

... though I'm hearing the food choices on the beach day have changed since I last did it. Now pay options. looking forward to it.

Just price checked my Anthem out of Bayonne on 26 Jan 2021.  Called RCI and saved >10% on previous price on my solo balcony; $213/day.  Considering 7 Dec 2020/Bayonne/Anthem/Solo Balcony also - $223/day.

Thanks for the heads up about the sale.  It sure worked for me.
