Interested to see why you felt you didn't belong.   We are taking our first Celebrity cruise in December with some family who has encouraged us to try Celebrity.  I am a big NCL fan.  So your opinion piqued my interest!  Please share your thoughts if you don't mind.

We entered the Pool area for the suite bookings.  Doors were not restricted like access to the Haven, but I was told the area is only for cruisers booked in the suites.

I just watched Harr Travel's video of the Haven on Youtube and I am very underwhelmed.  The lounge and restaurant look very spartan and minimalist but not in a good way.  The restaurant in particular I would go so far as to say it is the least appealing of all the other restaurant spaces onboard.  I would much rather spend time in Hundson's main dining room than in this Haven restaurant (except for the food and service of course!).

And then the sun deck is beautiful, but there appears to be almost zero shade!  This was an issue for us previously having sailed in the Retreat on Celebrity Edge which they fixed with their next version on Apex by adding lots of sun umbrellas.  Hopefully Norwegian will too, as lots of their guests will want to enjoy the outdoor spaces but don't want direct sun the whole time.

I will say having a sauna and snow room is very cool and welcome.

I remain quite excited to sail on Prima as pretty much every other venue looks beautiful and I love Norwegian in general.  This Haven though looks like a major miss IMO.

From the renderings I commented lack of Haven shade could be an issue if true and it is true.  Sailing in hot and sunny areas going to be a problem.  MSC learned that the hard way on Divinia by the YC pool.  They fixed it on newer ships.

I wrote that at 5am.  I was not putting down the Yacht Club.  My choice of words should have been better.  Many complain on celebrity that the Yacht Club limits their roam of the ship since they are not booked in suites.  I was trying to do a comparison.

Gotcha!

I was stressing about canceling my December Prima trip but oddly/sadly am feeling better about the decision as more pix come in...

I too am curise. I think I'd feel out of place on Celb too.  The ads portrait tall, thin, rich, well put together folks.  I would feel out of place there but feel so comfy at home on NCL ❤️

Did you cancel or not?  I wish I had waited before booking other trips, prices are so low now. Remind to self: plan NOTHING for next fall until prices drop LOL

Prices dropped? My Prima March cruise is up over $300 per person what I booked!   Surprised!

The people they (all lines) pick for their model/guests rarely reflect reality. I don't think I've encountered the James Bond guy in the casino on any lines, nor the young thing by his side...

I canceled .... it sounds nuts as I had a FANTASTIC aft Penthouse but I got really nervous looking at all the renderings without much shade.  One of the main reasons we stopped sailing on the MSC Seaside Class Yacht Clubs were their absolute lack of shade. It's like a blast furnace.

I also love the Away Class Haven covered pools if I just want to read or hang out with some AC.

I may eventually try a Prima Class ship but for the same price, I can go on Regent or Explora ....

I love the theater. That place is awesome.
it was not really necessary for the show today but it shows what they can all do with it.

they should do a party with live band there when it is in night club mood.

I finally finished part 1 of my review... Part 2 will go online tomorrow. Part 1 covers the ship til deck 8. Part 2 will cover deck 9 til 20. It´s a deck by deck review - so the German text does not really matter. Lots of photos anyway. Restaurants are part 3, bars and lounges are part 4 (both not yet finished). I´m pretty slow this time.

As I´m out of town for a couple of days next week I´m not sure how many parts I will finish. But I will continue.

@Steff79 if you have a chance to check... I have a VIP Casino shown in the deck plans on the left side forward sort of behind the Penrose Bar. I haven´t seen anything there or may have missed it. I saw the glass enclosed smoking casino on the right side.

there is a small casino behind the penrose bar. With a entrance at the left and right.
Right entrance. Here are some pics, if you want to complete yours feel free to use them.

I could wear my tux for our Viva sailing next year when I visit the casino.  Problem is, I'd look less like Sean Connery and more like Sidney Greenstreet.

How would you describe the internet speed on Prima?  Similar to other NCL ships or better or worse?  A You Tuber is on the cruise and gave it lousy review saying the wifi was off frequently.  He seemed a bit too negative.

Thanks

Tom
