dear budget queen:

actually it was for 3 people. it was $4800 per person for the 2 bedroom, and $6000  per  for the haven. that's where the $1200 difference per person was. that's why i jumped at the offer.
I'm so glad you saved $3600.

I was actually replying about Ken's booking.     But as always there is something for everyone.   And all that matters,  is that person is happy with the deal.     I know I always am.  🙂

OK. After relooking at various cost comparisons, we're definitely getting the special dining package as the math just makes sense. We're almost to the point of getting the free drink package, but I have a question for those in the know. My DW drinks a lot of bottled water. Is bottled water along with hot chocolate included in the "Free Open Bar" package? On their web page, it just says "all the spirits and cocktails, wines, draft beer, juice and soda", but no mention of bottled water.

Just called NCL and got the answer to my bottled water question. For those that don't already know, the answer is no. Bottled water is not included in the Free Open Bar package.

I did notice in a message with my booking online that you can also get specialty coffees and bottled water among other things included if you upgrade to a Premium Plus Beverage Package. But something tells me it's not a nominal charge to get the upgrade.

Feeling a little more decadent? Our Premium Plus Beverage Package includes all that plus bottled water (still and sparkling), energy drinks, specialty coffee, select wines by the bottle while dining, and more! Already have The Premium Beverage Package? You can always upgrade on board to our upgraded package.

If  you decide to upgrade to the Premium Plus BP,  enjoy... it's all on you.  Your cruise, your way.

Have a good one.

The amount is found when you log into your MyNCL account.  Mine gives me the amount to upgrade and I'm sure yours would too. It's all on you what you want and how you want it.

Enjoy

Just a fyi, the deal is extended. I just booked an Africa cruise using this promo for January of 2023. For once, the price really was 15% less than the last time I tracked (August). It's a ridiculously long time to wait as I typically book last minute, but I had a cruisenext that was about to expire and NCL allowed me to apply it.

If you happen to have the casino drink card, water and specialty coffees are included.  Only at the casino bar, though.  I actually always decline the "free" drinks and just go with the casino card.  I usually tip a dollar per drink, so at four or five drinks a day it's much cheaper than paying the gratuities on the drink package.

Is this casino drink card available on Carnival, Princess and MSC?
How does one get it?
do you have to be a big casino player?

Can't speak on carnival, princess, or MSC.  It takes some big time gambling to earn the card on the ship.  You can also get the card if you book a comped cruise thru a land based casino.  I gamble at Caesars casinos and get cruise offers all the time.  You don't have to be a high roller or anything

If you want to learn more about getting free drink cards up to comped cruises, suggest you check out Cruise Critics Casino conversations board.  Lots of good information there or you can ask a question about a particular cruise lines casinos.
