SUN finally says goodbye to JOY and PEARL in Aruba, and is going to Panama now. Where will she go afterwards? Her summer Alaska season is still not yet cancelled at this moment. In October she is scheduled to go to Asia.

After stopping at two India ports Mormugao (Goa) and Cochin, ENCORE is now heading to Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur) in Malaysia.

Maybe the SUN heads straight to Asia and goes like RCL and Dream Cruises are doing there now.

SUN has now been through the Panama Canal (today), and is now enroute to Portland OR with April 10 as the ETA. This makes 3 NCL ships in the Pacific. Sun, Jewel and POA.

Encore is now mid-way in Indian Ocean enroute to Port Klang, Malaysia, ETA on April 1.

Do you know for how long?

We are on the Sept 7 Alaska which will probably be canceled but it still shows on the NCL.com schedule to go from Seattle Transpacific on Oct 12.

NCL drydocks roughly in the 12-16 day range.  Sun is older ship but had recent, major refurb.  As older ship, has to do more often.  Guess would be on shorter side.

I noticed Breakaway went around to dock in Toulon.  Getaway is now in the dry dock although I don't know if dry or we - the bridge camera is stuck on a night view from last night.

Breakaway has been docked at Toulon for almost 4 weeks now. Getaway has been docked in Marseille since Nov, and she is not dry.

Encore is now anchored off Port Klang.

Sky has now left Curacao and is enroute to join Joy and Pearl in Aruba, ETA April 3.

Now bringing this back to the first page ....

SUN is steaming past Eureka CA toward Astoria and then Portland - arriving there tomorrow.

JADE has moved from Naples Italy to Augusta Sicily.

GEM has been out of Miami for some off-shore cruising, but is now heading back to Miami.

ENCORE is enroute to Manila with April 11 as ETA.

I'm disappointed that NCL didn't pick Bermuda as new (temporary) non-US homeport. Now Bermuda is getting RCL's Vision of the Seas starting on June 26th 2021 for 10 x 7-day cruises to Coco Cay and back. We're skeptical about going on him because although all adults and crew must be vaccinated, they allow unvaccinated kids (with negative covid test). We will see how things go ... their 10th and last cruise falls during our 35th wedding anniversary week.

Another cruise line is homeporting in Bermuda: Viking Ocean Cruises is sending Viking Orion here for 6 x 7-night cruises starting on June 15th 2021. This ship will dock overnight in Hamilton, two nights in St. George and will dock in Dockyard for the day. Two sea days are thrown in. This seems a great cruise for those who want to cruise Bermuda without having to stay in hotels. We're not going on this one as it's a small ship and we wanna get away from Bermuda, lol. Also no casino on ship!

Stay safe and well!!

Thank you. Good to know. We were also on the Sun on her first cruise after the last refurb and it was nice to have new beds, etc.

GEM departed from Miami and is heading to Aruba, which will join her fleetmates JOY, PEARL, SKY, and Oceania Insignia there.

BLISS is still in the wetdock at Brest, France.

SUN is still in the drydock at Portland, US.

ENCORE is at Manila anchorage. Probably she will keep waiting there until she can bring the new group of crew members back to Europe and US.

ESCAPE left Civitavecchia less than an hour ago and is heading to .... Rotterdam !!! ETA is May 1.

Here is a picture I took from our new abode of the line-up of 8 J50s for the SailGP that is taking place here in Bermuda. They are very fast boats - faster than the AC75 (America's Cup) that were here 2 years ago.

When cruising resumes we'll begin to see the cruise ships from our house across the Great Sound to the Dockyard.
