How can number of coupons x 7 day cruise equals 35 drinks be more if I use 5 one day then 7 then 3, etc., to max out at 35 be more?

I know what X has and does now. I was using that as an example of how coupons were used. Foresee where RCI will go AI, TOO!

I still don't see this as a cutback.  Even on the day where you want 6 drinks instead of 5, that means you had 5 drinks at no additional cost to you.  That's not a bad perk.

Would you ever have more than 5 drinks in one day? Water, soda/booze?

If yes, you have a choice of what to pay for your sixth drink.

Just trying to get a valid reason that it's a cutback.

 

Sorry you don't see that

 

The lounge is still available 

The coffe machine is still operating 

The appetizers are still available

We have more vouchers 

We have more drink choices

We have more opportunities 

We can enjoy pina coladas at the pool during afternoon 

 

The only downside is lack of unlimited during the historical 3 hour Happy Hour😉

I personally love the change too, and I’m just Diamond. I didn’t utilize the freebies much during HH before because I like frozen drinks, Mojitos, and premium margaritas. I guess I’m a drink snob. 😂 I’m looking forward to a better quality free drink. 👍🏼 Hope it stays.

I think the decision to revert or not to the unlimited drinks during happy hour will be made by the bean counters on the basis of which hurts Royal's bank balance less: the cost of all the alcohol consumed during HH or the revenue lost from D and up who no longer feel the need to buy a drinks package because of having the vouchers.

I think they will go back to the normal once the unknown has passed -- around 3-4 months of steady sailing.
