Masks provided?

For those who have sailed since the masking protocol, did Carnival have masks available for passengers? Thanks 😊

ive read in multiple places that passengers are responsible for bringing their own masks.

I’m on the Miracle right now.  I haven’t seen any masks being offered free, but they are sold in the gift shop.  Package of 3 disposable masks for about $4.00 - $5.00.

You have to wear one when you are checking-in and boarding... plus I wouldn't imagine that they would want to be shoveling out the cost of people tossing disposable masks 100 times a day when staff tell them to mask up.

On the Horizon now. I saw at several venues, including the comedy shows, a crew member holding a box of masks for anyone who forgot or broken theirs. Seems to be 99 % following  the rules. Occasionally someone one forgets to pull it up when coming in from outside, and they have been gently reminded to put it on.  👍

On the Mardi Gras  last week crew members stood at the doors to the Lido Buffet with a bag of masks for those without one. Thats the only place I saw anyone hand out masks.

That more an indictment of inconsiderate cruisers than of masks. Perhaps overdue to add (or increase) an environmental tax of some sort on cruising. A shame all might have to pay the price for the actions of a few.

NCL gave us masks (and hand sanitizer) in little gift bags in our rooms. They were pretty nice masks too. Surprised Carnival didn't do the same.

 

Recommendation is bring several. Using the same one every day is awful.

and 100% vaccinated cruises and free testing, I believe.

I cruise a lot and know how inconsiderate some cruisers are. Littering, smoking, you name it.

On the Miracle I would estimate 95% are masking.  I haven’t seen staff reminding people without masks to mask up, but there were overhead announcements in the casino reminding people.

We were in Vegas in April and the majority of the casinos were giving away masks with their logo on them. We came home with quite a collection. If someone would have told me 2 years ago that my favorite souvenirs from a trip would be masks, I would have thought they were crazy.

And signs when entering a bank used to say remove your hat and sunglasses. Then it was changed to wear a mask. Who would have thought a bank would want you to wear a mask when you entered. LOL
