“LIVE” Symphony! A greatly anticipated return to the Sea 🤗

Recommended Posts

I am really enjoying the pics.  I was showing my wife and telling her that they are getting me excited for our October cruise.  She said maybe I should stop looking at them and enjoy the vacation we are enjoying now!  🤔 Looking forward to the solarium!  Love the area and we enjoy eating there.

So appreciative that you're giving us this "sneak peek", we're going to be sailing on Symphony this Saturday!  How smooth was check in with the new protocols?  We have our covid tests scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

check in was a breeze for us, 30 minutes total from curbside to pool side. But we also had priority boarding with the suite, and heard we could arrive 1 hour before our check in time, which was 1:30.

there was a fairly long line for regular check in. I’ve heard that you should not arrive before your prescribed time, or you will be waiting outside 😟

My husband would like to know the table minimums on Blackjack . Is this for Blackjack?

I’ll check on blackjack. Suspect it is $5, the minimums I was referring to are for three card poker.

Great pictures and info we are sailing this Saturday 9/4. Can you post if you see any Trams or Shuttles on pier to get into Costa Maya?  That may be the deci

pedicabs on pier to port. Thanks so much and enjoy the rest if your cruise and keep up the wonderful pics and info.

October 2nd.  That would of been fun sailing together.  It will be our 1st time on Symphony.  We will try to make sure all is in good order before you board. 😊

I am looking forward to trying Hooked.  I have had my share of Maine lobster but surprisingly never have tried a lobster roll.

Sorry the above post wasn't complete!! Should say in Costa Maya it will be a deciding factor as to us going into port. Also if you are stopping in Cozumel do they still have pedicabs on pier to get you into port?

I saw a tram running here. I’ll check for you I’m Cozumel!

Room Service breakfast-a result of my apple watch adjusting to local time. Thankfully I checked the app for open restaurants, which accurately showed almost everything was closed for breakfast except for the windjammer.
wasn’t about to  try that again

note that with the new protocols, room service delivery people cannot enter your room.

This is new! (Or maybe new to me) And a great idea so you don’t have to hunt for a towel station

Now THIS is Pina Colada with Myers 👍😎

the 5 free D+ drinks per day for use anywhere/anytime is a great update to the C & A benefits. Most of the bartenders will ask if you want to use them or pay. Apparently some people “save” them for when they want to use them on a more  expensive drink and not waste the voucher.

Suggestion- bring some  bills to tip your wait staff when you are using them.   You won’t get a zero dollar slip to sign where you can add additional gratuity if you want to. I seem to recall signing zero dollar slips when I had the drink package. Maybe they’ve done away with this now, but at least when you have the drink package you’ve prepaid your drink gratuities.

Dinner last night in Coastal Kitchen was predictably good. Service has been a little slow. Think this may be the luck of the waiter draw, since other tables seemed to be progressing with their service a bit quicker than ours.

probably going to try the MDR later this week just to switch it up. The Royal app is really great for checking menus at the various venues .

we have reservations at Hooked tomorrow, since we didn’t have a chance to try it on our last sailing.

desserts in CC last night

this was a specially prepared sampler of all the desserts.

The one In the middle was some type of gelatin dessert that RCI seems to base a lot of their recipes on. Bleech.

the other two were great tho 🤗

Thanks for the info and pics!! Boarding Symphony Saturday and so excited to finally be cruising again! Looks wonderful with the crowds so light! Have they told you how many are on the cruise? Does it seem like many kids are onboard? (under 12 and medical exceptions are the only ones that can be unvaccinated right?)

How crowded is Coastal Kitchen? We are in a Jr Suite and have always been able to use KC a few nights a week at least......but am hearing probably not on my sailing full suite guests only?

We are gamblers. How does the casino seem?  Oasis class are a pretty big casino so hopefully feels a little uncrowded and is not very smoky. I play on the non smoking side but sometimes on a crowded sailing can still feel smoky.

Excited to see the entertainment schedule as that is something I am use to booking shows before we go. Have you had any issue booking anything?

Thanks for any info!

Trish
