This is all such good information. I have Nexus, so if the Arrive Can info transfers to it..itā€™s a nice backup. Ā I donā€™t frequent the Casino in that area, but we have visited the quilt shop many a time. Ā I hope theyā€™re still open, havenā€™t received any emails from them lately. ā€˜Girlsā€™ shopping trips are the best! šŸ˜Š

Can you please tell me why I canā€™t store my information on ArriveCAN app. I did two days ago and checked now itā€™s blanc. My NCL cruise is on January 05.Ā

Ā

Also had issues tonight trying to enter in my daughter's vaccine info. Did not have issues with it earlier this week.Ā  Also having issues logging into the website version, so I assume it's a technical glitch.

Did you use the save function after entering the information? And if you did, did you download the newest version of the app after entering the information? I've had no problem with it retaining the information, except after my last update.Ā  I reentered the information and have had no subsequent issues. That's using the iPhone version, but I can't speak for the Android version.

Oh thank you for that information.

Ā

I have one question though - the time you are crossing? How strict is that? Like I will probably come back around 10pm. Does it have to be the exact time?

Yes, similar to the experience from the other post - we were actually a little over one hour late due to DW Walmart USA enjoyment. CBSA still accepted it just fine.Ā

Has anyone had any issues uploading vaccination documentation from the US on to the app?

Ā

No issues. Ā All you are doing is uploading an image, whether it be a US document, Canadian, or other. Ā It will show on your receipt whether it requires further inspection. Ā Or are you asking about physically being in the US when you upload the document? Ā If thatā€™s the case, no issues there either.

I know the ArriveCan app says that only one account is needed per household. DH has already created an account and entered our passport and vaccination info into it. But what happens if you travel home on different days? Should I create my own account in case this should happen? Next week will be our first time out of the country since the pandemic.

Ā

I know you can put people on multiple accounts.

Ā

I have my husband on my account but he created his own one and added himself.

Ā

He hasn't left the country yet so I can't comment on if that causes issues or not.

According to the website, it is possible to use just the one account with your DH using the app remotely. It requires careful coordination between the two of you and, quite frankly, adds complexity and stress IMO. If I were you, I'd simply create your own account if you are going to travel separately.

Ā

If you're not the traveller

If you're not the traveller, you can submit travel information on behalf of others who may be unable to use ArriveCAN byĀ signing in online.

You'll need to fill out ArriveCAN with all of the traveller's information.

You'll then be able to print or email the receipt to the traveller.

You must send the receipt to the traveller to show to the Canada border services officer upon arrival to Canada. The traveller is responsible for ensuring they're compliant with the requirements for entry into Canada.

The traveller can't use ArriveCAN to complete their reporting after entering Canada. They must callĀ 1-833-641-0343Ā each day during their 14-day quarantine, unless exempt from this requirement.

Thanks Fouremco. That all makes sense. It occurred to us last night that we might have a problem if one of us tested positive at our resort and would have to stay behind, while the other went home. Looks like they've made provisions for that, but having a separate account does seem to be simpler.

Something that I thought about after my initial reply was that even if you do travel home together, it would probably be a smart thing to each have the app on your respective phones with all of the relevant data. That way, if your DH's phone suddenly failed to work, got lost or otherwise couldn't be used for your trip home, you'd have everything ready to go on yours.Ā
