LIVE The Oasis of the Seas 3/6-3/13/22

Recommended Posts

So went the the Royal theatre and saw “Respect” really good movie 🍿. I think the restaurants have reduced hours due to low staff count. There was no drink service in the theatre and it’s hard to watch a 2 hour 15 min movie without a soda.

So I could not fit comfortably in the regular theatre seats. In the back row of the theatre on deck 4 are green seats that I fit in and are really comfortable. Because of my walker, I should be able to get one today for my 3pm showing of 🐈🐈.

Went to Chops and had a very juicy NY Strip and a Cesar salad and baked potato. I had some San Pellagrino and an Italian white whine. Forgot to take picture due to me starving.

Had the key lime pie and the meringue tasted weird.

My server Asap was wonderful, left him a additional tip.

So I am going to voice my opinion and I hope I don’t offend anyone.

Food:

I don’t understand how the pastries and desserts taste so wrong. My lave cake at the Key lunch had a solid chocolate bite, not gooey at all. The key pie was wrong and my blueberry pancakes that I was craving so badly tasted bad. They tasted artificial, I can’t quite put my finger on it.

The service ever where I went has been outstanding, and since I’m in customer service I have high standards.

So will post pictures of my lunch later and my review of cats.

Saw a preview on the TV it looks good unless the singing is just bad.

Stay tuned for more fun💕

Thanks for uploading the Entertainment schedule. Looks like they made a few changes.

BennyBrun had posted one from his sailing a few weeks back.

Since I am the planner for the family I now have to update my spreadsheet. Trying to coordinate nightly dinner , we have UDP and show's has been FUN, to say the least!

Any idea how full ship is? Are the chair hogs out in full force.. LOL!!

I was just on the pool deck for a little while but due to the high winds, I had to go inside.

The pool deck at 10 am was not crowded. It doesn’t feel like 4000 people, I will be going down to the promenade after lunch and will see if there is crowds.

Does it feel crowded?  Assuming it will be around this number (maybe a couple hundred more) next week.

It’s doesn’t feel crowded but I will look around at the promenade later and post about the crowds

Thank you for your review. We're on the 27th sailing and enjoy seeing a preview. I'm surprised how many venues are closed this week. Did they give any explanation for it?

Enjoy your day at sea!

Thank you for reading. No explanation given, honestly I think they may be short staffed.

The only place that had a lot of staff was chops, they had an army of servers.

Do you know which nights are the "formal nights"?  Trying to plan evening entertainment around out MTD!

Last night was Formal night and Maybe night 5 since there is prime rib, I have the UDP so I’m only eating in MDR on Thursday for said prime rib. Thanks for reading.

Tonight is formal night per the cruise director last night and also in the app. Likely 2nd to last night will be the other Screenshot_20220308-105457_Royal.thumb.jpg.b3c859713f9e9e2ddba5b856b7673025.jpg

Thank you for that correction, I haven’t seen the cruise director speak yet. I feel like I’m back at home in the south with all the humidity we are having.

Enjoy your day

We were told it's a staff shortage due to sending many crew members to the Wonder.

Last week Solarium Bistro was open for breakfast 9:30 to 12:30 but no other times.

Chair hogs are in full force.

Last week was mask optional also.

Last week we had 3400 guests. We were told just over 4000 this week with 700+ children since spring break has begun.

Maitaivegas, it's great to get your perspective. Enjoy!

Had lunch at Portside BBQ, the brisket was really good. Service was really good.

Not going to Cats today, due to the fact I fell down going up the stair to Portside.
I fell on my knee and twisted my back. This lady also fell right after me.

So I’m going to stay in since I fell and I’m exhausted.

I hate that I’m missing so much, missed Aqua 80, missing live music.

Here is my food pic and will see you tomorrow .

Good Morning all:

Man sorry this is the first time I posted since yesterday.

I was wore out! I feel asleep sitting up on my couch for like an hour. Then I slept for another 7 hours. I stepped 5600 steps yesterday.

So was just on deck 16 at the Lime and the Coconut and got my first drink of the day. Frozen Mudslide. It was good but the casino bar at Harris? Near the McDonald’s in Las Vegas was better.

If you like those you should also try a BBC. I had a few of those aboard Odyssey last month and loved them.

Thanks for posting.  Following your review.  We get on Sunday when you get off.  Of course there will be a cold front 😞   Hopefully, it will move through very quickly and warm back up.  🙂

Disappointed to read about all the restaurant changes/closures.  We had planned to eat at them next week.   I guess we'll need to rethink a few things.

Sorry about your fall.  Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for the great pictures.

Reading your review.  Cancelled my Nov. 2021 Oasis cruise I had been waiting on 2 years.   I just hope I'll be able to cruise again some day.

I really don't drink often at home but get me on the ship and I say "where's the bar?" I spent more time in Michael's Club with Celebrity than I did doing anything else.

I wonder if they plan on picking up new staff soon or if there will be ongoing closings. Kind of a bummer, but really at this point I'm just happy to sail.

I would have expected them to add new crew and have them trained in advance of Wonder's debut. They did have a bit of advance notice.

@Maitaivegas, I’m sorry to hear about your fall. I hope there are no serious injuries, and that a good rest will have you back on your feet and back to enjoying your cruise again soon. Since your fall occurred on the ship, did you report it and get checked out by medical?

Meanwhile, other than your fall I’m enjoying hearing about your cruise. Just remember that there’s so much to see and do on Oasis that there’s no way to fit it all in during one seven day cruise. Pace yourself more like what you’re used to doing at home so you stay safe and are able to enjoy the things you do manage to fit into your days.

I scrolled through, what restaurant changes/closures besides Johnny Rockets for breakfast, Solarium Bistro shortened hours and Deck 5 MDR? Seems minor to me.

3/9/22 Wednesday

Had breakfast at Park Cafe, great English muffin egg sandwich. The oatmeal was slimy.

Service here is awesome, everyone is so nice.

Went back to the room to relax and my cabin Stewart showed up, so I’m back at Park cafe.

Today I’m going to try to make it Playmakers, sad not open till 230.  Will have a late lunch and then will try to get on the Rising Tide.
