Statement of Charges after cruise

Just returned from our first Princess cruise and realized that all of the billing data on our Medallion App and on the website has disappeared.

Is there a way to get this? I expected something like when you check out of a hotel.

We did use a TA, does this make a difference?

You always need to look at your folio before departing the ship, in case of errors.  i always checked our folio every few days to see if it was correct.
You could have used the App, the TV or go to guest services, or use a kiosk near guest services to see or print.

We received a copy by email about a week after our cruises, but that might not always happen.

If you really want a copy, you could request a final folio copy from customer relations, but that might take a while.

Yes, we had been checking it during the cruise. Just a little surprised when I checked at the Airport and it was all gone! Next time I'll do a screenshot.

Our's arrived about a week after disembarkation for our cruise on the Regal in February.  We don't have one yet for the cruise we disembarked last Saturday but guessing we will get it this weekend.  I did make a screenshot of the charges before we disembarked and that matched the charge that they managed to process immediately.

We cruised in January and March and received our emailed folios within 24 hours of disembarkation.  The email was from noreply@princesscruises.com and titled "Your Recent Journey aboard the XXXXX Princess."

Same for us on Discovery in April.

We checked our onboard statement the day before disembarkation on the app which was correct & took screenshots. When the emailed statement arrived the day after disembarking our refundable credit was reduced by 25%. I immediately emailed their Director of CR showing proof of their mistake but never received a reply. Eight weeks later received a check for the wrong amount being reduced by 25% so I emailed them again but no reply.

I understand they’re understaffed for the number of problems they’re creating. This isn’t my only experience with them making financial mistakes which sadly has resulted in my preferred cruise line to become untrustworthy to treat their guests properly.

We received an email with our statement two days after disembarking the Ruby.  I knew that there were items missing and the charge wasn't correct. I figured they would correct it at some point. Then I checked my Visa bill and the charge from  Princess included the missing items. Weird how they figure it. Always check your account while on board. Numerous times we were charged for drinks in the dining room even though we had the drink package. A trip to guest services straightened it out. So do check before you get off the ship!

I was on the Crown May 21st, I never received an emailed statement. I did go to Guest Services on the morning of debarkation and got a printed copy. I was also charged for drinks when I had the Princess plus package which they fixed; but, now I'm wondering if I'm going to get my full refund or if it will be reduced by erroneous charges. Why don't they just refund my credit card instead of mailing a check?

Since Covid-19, another savings is they no longer slide printed copies under stateroom doors on the last night (according to many reports from folks who have taken cruises).  I have noticed a lot of hotels doing the same and just sending final bill via email.  Works for me.  Only problem is with Princess, you cannot call back to the hotel front desk (unless you want to pay ship-to-shore phone rates, including waiting on hold while they look into it).  That leaves dealing with PCL HQ which can be a time-consuming task for sure.

Well I did get an email with a statement of my charges but for some reason only my wife's account should the consolidation of both of our charges even though I booked the cruise initially? Still don't have her statement. It appears they zerod out mine to hers.

Got to be an easier way!

Twice this has happened to us.  We use my card to pay for onboard expenses.  In February when we finally got our folios, I got a listing of only my charges and my husband's statement showed the charges for both of us.  During our cruise on the Caribbean Princess late last month I looked at the stateroom charges on the app and sure enough I could only see mine.  A trip to Passenger Services fixed this after I confirmed that I was the cardholder and I could see both of our charges again (and DH could only see his).  This seems to be another feature of the app where it flips the cardholder owner to the other passenger - a few folks have reported this.  And we have yet to get the emails with our final statement - we disembarked 8 days ago.

You're all lucky you got emailed statements.  While I'd been checking all along on the app, I took no screenshots and did not wait in a long line night before debarkation to get a printout.  Debarked on 5/26 - still waiting for onboard folio email despite several calls, chats, online folio form request, and emails (even to executives).  I check spam as well!  On our cruise that debarked on 12/30/21, received the email the following day.

And it's not like they don't have the correct email - I've received the customer sat survey the day after the cruise.

The person who is listed as passenger #1 when the cruise is booked will always be the one who can see all the charges for both in the stateroom.  It has nothing to so with whose name is on the credit card applied.

Didn't seem to work for us that way? I checked our Travel Documents and I'm listed first on there.

Are you sure?  It’s been that way every time for us for a very long time.  Going forward check it out.  I can tell who’s #1 on the personalizer on the “check in” page.  On a phone #1 name will appear first, on a tablet or PC the #1 name will be on the left.

if you happen to still have the print out of your travel summary look and see who was listed first as passenger #1.  Was it your wife?

Ours wasn’t that way.  I’m listed as no 1 in the booking.  I could see my charges, but had to go to DH folio to see both our charges.

Not true for us either.  I was listed as #1 on the booking (it was booked using a casino benefit that I earned).  I'm beginning to wonder if the credit card info doesn't carry over correctly from a prior booking.

My Travel Summary has me first, wife second. Interesting that I added her as an authorized account but I can't see her spending?

Something has been crossed up.

I just get a printout before bed (apx MN) as I'm not charging the following morning.

yeh, but unfortunately that may not match the final folio after the overnight charges are posted - maybe charges that were previously written down - but just processed the last night

happened to us - a $35 bottle of wine we didn't get that was then on the folio 'slipped' under the door - pre-'rona...

Did you contest it and get it removed?? I was overcharged $20 in December 2021 (booked 1 disembark tour but everyone only got the cheaper one) and got it back as 20 OBC for next cruise.

yes - had to go to CS disembarkation morning - the kept looking thru the 'paper slips' and couldn't find the charge ... someone got a 'free' bottle of wine - the cynical side of me hopes it was an honest error but who really knows...

Like the experiences of others, my name is listed first & using my chargecard yet it’s my wife who is listed as the “Account Owner” on the Stateroom Account with me as an “Authorized User”. That resulted in our shortchanged refund check going to her despite her account not having any refundable credit. Not a big deal for us on Discovery in April…except for refunding only a portion of our refundable credit.

I was charged for two bottles of wine during the cruise when I had the Princess Plus package, they took it off as it didn't make sense why I'd order bottles of wine when I could get glasses for free. I guess this happens a lot. Guest Service said the order may have been entered as two bottles instead of two glasses.
