I received a new offer yesterday and the list of sailings is different from the offer I received last week. The latest offer no longer lists the Konningsdam New Years cruise so happy that I booked it last weekend!

Yes, never hesitate.  If anything, put on hold, and then decide.

I got an offer yesterday.  When I logged in the pricing didn’t show up on my account.  Hopefully it will today.

I just got one.  Same thing, it oddly doesn't show up when I log in.  I want to speak with my HAL Cruise Consultant about it anyway.  We're already booked on the 12/23 sailing (free ocean view) and this would add the 12/30 sailing (free interior).  I just don't want the hassle of switching rooms on 12/30....

I finally received a casino offer for 30% off some cruises. Received it on October 13 and it is only good thru October 15. It seems like a very short time.

Does it say last chance? That offer came out weeks ago. A reminder was sent out on the 13th. You may have missed the initial email offer.

Did you get an email for that one?

I discovered (by luck) that for the last week, when I carry through a booking the price to selecting a room the price discounted by about 30% (being Canadian I thought perhaps it was a mistake and I was getting my pricing at par or something). When I booked a cruise at the disocunt, "Casino discount applied" was in the booking summary.

I never received an email (even though I received them in the past), and had I not mock booked a few cruises, I would have never know. I still don't know which cruises other than to trial and error through bookings.

It was and e-mail and I do check but I could have missed one. Actually I've been checking as I used to get some offers thru the regular mail and had been informed they would be on the e-mail, first one in months.

I have the one that ends today, another that ends Oct 31st and one that ends Nov 15th. I pretty much always have 2 or 3 going offers going on at the same time. I do believe their system may have been screwed up as my last chance off was not the same as the original offer I received that expired today.

Just booked a casino offer yesterday.  "Free" ocean view cabin, $125 casino cash, and free drinks while playing in casino.  We were charged port taxes and a $250 deposit per person which she said would be refunded as onboard credit.  The booking agent said that we were charged the full amount on our credit card and when she emails the invoice it will appear that we still have a balance for the cruise.  We were told to ignore it but it says due today and I hope I can believe her.  Anyone else have this experience?  I tried to call today but couldn't get through.

I booked four cruises with the casino offer in the past month. All four cruises the reps said the same thing to me about there being a balance. The rep said they have to fill out a casino form to alert the casino department to pay the balance of the cruise. The first cruise we booked back in Sept for next June... when I called to add the HIA package last week, I was told by a rep that there was still a balance on the cruise and they had to contact the casino department to find out why it hadn't been paid yet (rep said it usually takes five days for them to pay, but I had booked that cruise over a month ago). I guess there is a backlog. So they couldn't add the HIA package because when they added it on in their system the system requires the remainder balance to be paid. Which again, the casino department needs to pay. So we couldn't add the HIA package yet. I asked when I booked the additional three casino offer cruises a few days ago about the possibility that come cruise time, what if the casino still hasn't paid the remainder balance and I was reassured it would be paid before the cruise starts. Maybe take that with a grain of salt but I will be calling back closer to the cruise to verify the balances have been paid. Several of the cruises I booked are in Nov. so I will report back as it gets closer to let you know if there is still an issue.

That gives me some relief.  I didn't want to book flights and find out they cancelled my cruise because I didn't pay.  This cruise is in December.  Thanks for the info!

HAL has accounting form issues with displaying OBC's, discounts. They must be "manual" and don't show in real time 😞

We've just returned from a casino cruise to Alaska. The offer was not quite as generous as yours - a free obstructed view cabin but only $50 in casino cash. We paid the port taxes and $250 CDN for the onboard credit, which was converted to US$200 on our shipboard account. At no point were we charged the full amount on our credit card. We made the arrangements through the PCC identified on the offer and were able to select the least obstructed ocean view cabin.

When were you able to select your cabin?  Were you given the opportunity to upgrade for a fee?

Our PCC found us a suitable cabin when we agreed to book. We could have opted for an upgrade to a veranda but decided against it as we felt that we likely would not be able to take full advantage given the time of the year. Plus the price that was quoted for the upgrade negated any savings that we could benefit from with the "free" offer.

That has nothing to do with a casino booking. What most don't realize is that Carnival Casino division pays HAL for the cabin. Granted is at a discounted rate that appears to be in the 75% area but they do pay. The cabin will not show as paid for until HAL receives the money from the casino. That could take 2 days or up to 2 weeks.

They usually pay within a few days to a few weeks. One offer expired today so I am sure they are pretty busy right now,

Update:  We've booked the 12/30 cruise.  It is an inside.  So, I'll follow the advice I've read here and see about upgrades closer to our sailing date.  Looking forward to the B2B cruises.

HAL or CCL should do these promo credits  faster than 2 wks. I guess price is right for waiting though 😉

Carnival Casino Division is a separate entity. They need to handle all casino offers from all Carnival brand ships. They can get quite backed up. Usually my PCC gets it handled in a few days. Last 2 bookings took 1 week and 2 weeks respectively.
