Casino offers - be sure to check the website!

My DW gets free cabin offers from HAL post Covid.  Most are for free Oceanviews or verandahs.  She has a current one that ends June 30, so I was just checking on the HAL website, doing a pretend booking, and found a great deal that WAS NOT on the original email she received about a month ago.  The email sailings were mostly 7 day cruises to Alaska, New England and Europe until Oct., 2022.  A couple were for longer (10-14 day cruises).

In my search today I came across a 21 European cruise (Northern) for July/August for FREE (well, you do have to pay $200 (which you get back in OBC) and of course taxes and fees.  Since it is 30 days away we cannot pull it off, so had to pass on it.

My point is - if you get one of these casino offers, do a complete search of all cruises within your timeframe and areas before you decide - some other deals may show up and maybe alot better than the ones the email lists.

At least you get an e-mail. We get casino offers, but never an e-mail. Only find deals by searching through 46 pages of cruises. I save the deals to favorites on the web site so that I can easily go back and find them. It is easy to spot the deals as they are the $200 pp cruises.

Have you tried sorting the search pages from lowest to highest cost after you get to the list of all cruises?  There is a drop down on the right hand side of the screen where you can sort by different criteria. It defaults to recommended but you can change it to-other things, including price low to high.

Since casino offers show with a price of $200, all those should show up in the first pages.

Question for casino cruisers:  Do you know if time and money spent in the casino on a Carnival cruise have any impact on cruise offers from HAL?

I would say in my experience it seems that is the case for the reverse, so I expect so.

yea I just went through all of mine for Oct-Dec, and marked them as a favorite. Wife says I can't book until the last day June 30, because that's when I come back from my Reno trip. I have to be responsible there to get a casino cruise in the Fall.

Wish me Luck and Will Power,

P.

I got the same email.  However, after I choose my stateroom type and press 'Select', it just shows a blank screen like below.  I have tried on both Edge and Chrome and even on Safari via my phone.  I've tried multiple cruises, but always a blank screen.  Any suggestions?  I'd think that if nothing was available, it would state that on the previous screen.

The Free casino offers are for guarantees only (at least all of mine have been) so that happens when you try to select a cabin.  YMMV.

The January cruise I was going to book under a casino offer (when I got home from Alaska) is no longer available.  I was going to add it onto the front of a Carnival sailing I have booked.  Instead, I found a free offer from Carnival (which although I have >30 Carnival sailings, I almost never get free offers; after 3 HAL sailings, I started getting them - go figure).  So I added that (even got the same cabin) to make a 6+8 B2B.  Keep trying to get away from Carnival, but at least this is on Spirit (which is a similar size/layout to the Vista class ships).

And I'm not seeing any HAL casino offers for me right now.  That's OK.  I really don't "need" to book anything else!

WOW!  That is quite a long list - must be for the high rollers though, as we have not gotten it.

I didn't get it either.  Haven't received an email offer this year so far, but did book B2B Nov 9th and 20th on Rotterdam for this fall.  The 200.00 inside room price was shown when I was logged in and the ocean view was 200.00 as well when I viewed the itinerary of those listings, as well as others that I wouldn't normally book.  Called the Casino booking group and they said that it showed that I had been emailed with the offer, but never received it.  Booked me anyway.  I emailed Ocean Players Club and they replied confirming I was eligible and also got the free play 100.00 and drinks while playing.  I printed out those emails and will take them with me.

Don't know of anything I can do to get the emails going again.  It's all magic after all!  Just have to be on top of checking the web site.

I have tried this in the past and just now. Strange that it does not really work for us. Seems the only sure way to tell is to go through all pages of cruises on the search pages. Thanks for the advice anyway, it was worth a try.

Sounds like you get the same response as we do from HAL. They claim they sent the e-mail and they have correct address, but it never arrives. Seems like they would be able to correct this but it never gets fixed. You seem to be in the same group as we are with offers and $100 free play.

I wonder if the the emails are being filtered out on your end as spam or junk mail?

No, although this is the excuse given by HAL. Nothing in the spam folder. Plus I have spoken to several other casino guest who have the same problem.

Maybe you have a filter set up on your email to delete 'junk' emails  rather than put them in a 'spam' or 'junk' folder. There is also a possibility that it is being removed as junk by email host, although not as likely as that is the more obvious stuff, but you could check with your  support to see if that is a possibility.

Handling of spam emails (and what can be perceived as spam) can vary greatly.

edit: one more thing to try .. add the email address to your contact book - that should help avoid being filtered out intentionally

I must be missing something.  I get the casino emails.  How do you search the website for deals not on the original listing.  We are looking for some of the longer cruise deals, but our recent offerings have been mainly for the 7 nights.

Have the same problem with receiving the e mails.  Have contacted them several times and they don't respond by fixing their problem.  Wish they would quit being so cheap and go back to mailing them.  Other Carnival brands do you would think holland would with the senior age of their customers.

If you are logged in with your Mariner ID, then the "free" casino deals should show up as priced at $200 when you search cruises.  I haven't figured out any way to filter them out from the other cruises, though.  If you tell it to sort by price, it ignores the casino price.  I've just paged through them all.

I get the same problem. Every time I have to call or send an email to my PVP.

Only once was there not a veranda room available, but they booked me an ocean view till one opened up.

I believe the problem has to to do with the select fare page not handling the casino offer. If you select a different fare type it comes up fine.

Tried different computers and different browsers and an IPhone, same issue on all.

All of our Casino discounts are now removed from website. This has happened before only to reappear a few weeks later.  Anyone else have the same thing happen.
