Does anyone have experience with receiving an offer directly from your local casino. I just received an email from our local casino here in BC, stating I was able to pick up a "Sail and Play Cruise Certificate" from Holland America at their guest services desk next week.

We have never sailed with them and I don't see anything listed on my account page when I log onto the site. Just wondering if its a scam and not to waste my time going there.

Thanks so much

I have seen this type of offer before from land based casinos, but never on HAL.  Of course it could be that due to your home location.  I would think it is legit, but be sure to understand the  restrictions on the offer (does not include taxes, port fees and tips and likely is for an Inside cabin in a guarantee location).  Most cruiselines LOVE to get gamblers onboard, as they know they will likely make money from them.

Ok thanks for the info. I will definitely check out the restrictions. We are not big gamblers at all so I was very surprised by the email.

I get offers from Casinos in Reno and Vegas to come visit on a certain date for a free cruise certificate on NCL or RCI, but never HAL.

We do go to Vegas often but have yet to receive one from them, that would have made more sense. Thanks for the response

Dang Nabbit! I guess my PCC was misinformed. Maybe something will still come later this week.

We have not received any offers either. In checking the 47 pages of cruises only discounts off regular prices. This is what we received pre-Covid. Would not be surprised if the $200 special deals are done for us. But it was fun while it lasted. Actually we needed a break after all of those cruises. I will keep checking.

Yea I got the reminder to  save "30% off on over 600 sailings" but no free play or drinks in the casino. It expires on 07/15. So hopefully next week something new will happened. Otherwise I might have to take a Princess offer in the Fall.

Does anyone have experience with the Come Back and Sail offers?  I just got off the Oosterdam and the free play is very attractive, but not sure what exactly the offer is beyond that.

The staterooms are typically either complimentary(minus port fees and taxes) or discounted.  You need to be logged in, and go through the booking stage to see final pricing.

I thought you had to call to take advantage of those offers. It's a 30 day time frame to book. I don't see a chance in hell where HAL will have that offer on their website. They would need to go into each individual pax account that received the offer.

The complimentary cruises I have booked directly on line, plus another with my PCC.

OK, I got a new one today, but not a free cabin offer. Still I might go on the Spanish Farewell in November if wife approves.

If you decide to book come over to the roll call.  We have an amazing and very active group.

The come back and sail offers are put under your cabin door on the 2nd to last or last day of your cruise. You are referring to other offers.

Nothing here.  The good times may be over, lol.  @Suncoastsailors I keep meaning to ask you if you are a twin, and if so, you have a sister who ever lived in OK?

Funny. No not a twin and although we lived many places never in OK. We are retired travel ICU nurses. Yes I think you may be correct, the good times may be over. We still have 3 cruises booked with HAL this year under the "good old days". If you see her tell my "twin sister" I said hello.

We no longer live in OK, so no opportunity to see her!  We have one cruise this year and a 16 day TA next year.  The 16 day(balcony) was not on any list.  I just happened upon it.  We are using this to get to Europe to visit our DS and DIL who work and live in Munich.  We flew both ways a few months ago, and on that trip decided we would rather cruise next time.  We cruised over in 2016.  I could not believe it when I saw the sailing, and booked it ASAP.  We are taking the QM2 back(inside).  Happy Cruising to you!

Looks like  one I got in April that needed to be booked by April 30th.  I booked one.  Got a balcony for $1000.00 less.  I had a FCD that was expiring.

The coastal cruises on the Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam for six days from Vancouver are good prices on balconies.  These are not casino offers good for everyone.

If you have a PVP cruise contact I would call that person. I have received such an offer and you do have to book a cruise by the deadline on the offer. ALSO, I would highly recommend you keep and bring that paper offer with you when you are sailing to take advantage of that offer as I had an issue will verification on one of my sailings and I'm glad I had proof.
