I am cruising with 3 rabid football fans in October.   Is there a venue on the Dream that shows games although I know selection will be limited.

We cruised on the Magic last December and my husband and I are die hard Steelers fans 🙂  Pretty sure the Dream is the same layout.  We watched a lot of football at the Casino Bar as well as the red frog.  However I am not sure if the Dream has the Red Frog pub.  Either way there will be places to catch a game.

I just got off her last week. The casino bar had the most TVs. About 6 maybe. There is no Red Frog Brew Pub on Dream unfortunately, just an art gallery. There is a single TV at the aft pool bar as well.

Thanks for the responses.  I have previously sailed NCL, once during the Superbowl and the ship had the game on and tailgating snacks at  the back pool.  They also streamed games to room tvs.  I believe enough cruisers asked otherwise it would have only been on small screens only at bars.  I know Oct is normal season but my fellow cruisers are all around fans and will watch any and all games they can

Make sure they get there early if they want a seat. Imagine every football fan on the ship crowding around the casino bar.

We leave on the Dream on Oct 22nd for 2 weeks.  Expecting the Astros to be deep into playoff baseball and with any luck the World Series.  Hopefully, we will be able to watch.

I can say the World Series was televised when I was on the Panorama last year.

Yes, I’m a little suspect of the “watch party” event on my roll call that says they’ll watch it on the lido. 😬

I remember an Alabama watch party on the Dream in 2018 that ended up watching whatever game was on ESPN waiting for Alabama highlights. The little bit of hope is the fact that ESPN owns ABC and they had that big XII championship game on that wasn't on an ESPN channel. Then there was a game on Magic that wasn't on an ESPN channel here but it was on "ESPN Live" or something on the ship. So there's always that chance. But going off of the fact that you usually just see ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU on the ships, I'd be skeptical.

This is a huge problem, on some ships it's simply unworkable and creates bottlenecks and  crowds. The big games should really be on lido screens in addition to the bars, even if they turn the sound off and bump music instead. They really only need the sound for big games like playoffs, championship and super bowl games. I'd rather see it at least vs not seeing and only having music, win-win and those who prefer to hear the announcers can choose inside locations to spread folks out.

We watched football playoffs on the big screen at sunset & night hours.
This was the Valor, I think.
BEST FOOTBALL viewing ever….except we lost,,,that part was brutal. LOL

Indeed, watching the 49ers win the NFC championship in 2020 on Pamorama while in the middle of the ocean was probably the funnest game I ever watched socially. It was awesome and everyone was so energetic and friendly, even fans from opposing sides, something I'll never forget.

Yeah I've been on Dream during football season. People pull up seats behind the bar seats. Stand out in the walkway. It's bad. But heck for the big games....like baseball playoffs and primetime NFL games even on Panorama with the sports bar it was so full it was difficult to walk by if you were going down to the comedy club. But that was a West coast cruise. The dodgers were in the NCLS and the Rams were on MNF and the Cardinals were on TNF.

This applies to the Dream, and those other ships that don't have Sports Bars. When big games are happening, why doesn't Carnival just show it on the big screen where they show the Dive In Movies?

I do know that they have shown cowboys and texans games on the big screen out of Galveston when they’re in prime time. And Saints games out of New Orleans. I don’t think they’ve done it with college games.
