I had planned to take a glass with me every night for dinner. Maybe I should just bring the bottle and let them store it? The corkage fee , if charged, won’t break the bank 🤷♀️ I have stored wine in fridge on older ships and was always cold enough.
mets07 Posted August 10, 2022 #27 Share Posted August 10, 2022 We found the fridges quite cool on very recent cruises on both Explorer and Harmony.

We ended up starting to leave the fridge door slightly ajar to try and keep it from freezing everything solid. I agree with that. We were on the Ovation 4 weeks last year and had the same experience. The newer ships are no problem, but the older ones don’t work. then just fill the ice bucket and put them there

Yes and it’s not necessary to keep it cold. Bring the unopened bottle to any bar and exchange for a cold one. That’s what our friends have done….

That works, but it defeats the purpose of having a beer in your room when you want one. 🙂

Always had a cold beer waiting in the room!

Indy last month was the first "fridge" I've had that was virtually useless... and it wasn't just that we got a broken one b/c it was a B2B and we switched cabins... both were the same. Rare crewsweeper Posted August 10, 2022 #36 Share Posted August 10, 2022 How chilled is a matter of type of wine or beer. Champagne and most white wines need to be chilled to low-mid 40s. Reds can do ok in upper 50s or even low 60s for heartier reds and can be chilled a bit in an ice bucket for 15 minutes. Beer really need that mid 50s temp to be at it's best.

Great to relax on balcony and enjoy the sea views.
