Lo, for those of you who have gotten the $25 casino credit on the radiance do they Regular chips or special chips you must play? What about the credit on the Slot machines? Must you play the whole $25 or can you Cash it out if you don't use it all? We're not big gamblers

Sorry don't know specific to Radiance but quite familiar on other ships, dependent upon the ship some will give you the cash others will add the money to your Casino account.  If the latter happens you will have to go to a slot machine open a account which is simple to do and you will see a button on the machine that says pay from casino account and the money will be there. I usually do a couple of spins then remove the money at cashier desk.  If you use the tables just tell them to use casino account and they will give you chips

Here's the general procedure: You go to the cage in the casino.  They will either give you cash or ask slots or tables?  If you say slots, you have to play the wager the entire $25, but you can cash out any winnings.  Since you are not big gamblers and it's free money, I suggest you go to a game that has a max bet of $5 then spin it five times.  At that point, you can cash out and convert your winnings (if any) to cash at the cage.  Good luck.

Can the chips be turned in for cash?

Not the $25 in chips they initially give you; those are promotional chips that can only be played.  But the payout if you win with those chips is with regular chips that you can cash out.

You are correct..my bad.  It's been a while since I got the play chips because all the recent cruises i have been on gave me cash.

I know this has been answered already, but can confirm Radiance issued $25 directly to our sign n sail card.. You put the card into a slot machine (not every machine will work though, only some accept promo credit. I cannot recall if needed a pin number  to confirm it is the correct person. Then using the little window follow prompts that you are using promo balance. Then select $ amount you want spin with. If no credit win. Spin again, say you win $2.65 on spin. That is now actual money you can cash in. The machine will use your promo amount before using your cash credit. Keep an eye on your promo balance, or add in head. If just playing to use up casino credit, you don’t want to start playing with “winnings”. I can clarify more when sail next week on Radiance. Hope this is clear as mud 🤔

I was educated in a different thread about the same topic.  If there are two of you, get your chips and go to the roulette table.  Put 25 on red and 25 on black.  If 0 or 00 come up you lose. But if red or black comes up, you're guaranteed to get a 25 dollar chip you can cash in as well as the original 25 dollar promotional chip to bet again with.

You can always throw a couple bucks on the green between the 0/00 and cover that as well. Pays 35 to 1 so if green comes up and you have it split you will get 35 dollars.

I'll play with Carnivals money.  We'll take the 100 in chips during our second week of our B2B, bet 50/50 and then 25/25.  If green doesn't come up, we get 75 in cashable chips and 25 to bet again.  Guaranteeing us 75 or 100 if green doesn't come up.

I have recently been on the Pride and Splendor and they gave $25.00 cash from the casino cage.  It could be used in the casino, but doesn’t have to be.  You can keep it if you want.

It varies by ship, including whether you say you play tables or slots, and if you play slots whether that ship's slots have the old or new S&S card readers.

Because they are older ships in the fleet, they don't have the same capabilities as the Mardi Gras does, which forces you to use the chips or the slot credit.

So if you put a $25 gifted chip that the casino gives you, and you put it on black and win, would you get a $25 cashable chip and then the same $25 gifted chip back? Or do they take the gifted chip away and pay you a $50 cashable chip?

I was about to come here and ask what "$25 platinum casino credit?"

I've been Platinum/Diamond for years and I've never gone to the cage and asked for my $25 platinum credit.  Have never heard of such a thing.

But then, I almost always am sailing on some kind of casino offer.

So, are you folks saying that if Platinum (and I'm assuming Diamond as well), that you get $25 promo credit on any/all sailings?

My next 32-nights are a B2B2B on Pride, but those are casino offers (discounted, not free, with some casino cash and DOU).  The next sailing is on Spirit B2B.  The first leg is a freebie.  The 2nd was booked under the very good Anniversary fare.  That's about the only sailing on Carnival I've booked in years that didn't have some kind of casino offer.

Will I get $25 casino play?

This is only since the restart because they're not having tournaments to use the BOGO tournament entry from the Platinum/Diamond benefits.

As much as cash as Carnival Corp. is still bleeding, I'm shocked they're still doing this and they haven't just removed mention of the benefit in the VIFP materials.

Yes you will, on each leg AND the Pride is giving CASH, so just go to the Casino Cage and ask for you rPlatium benefit and you'll get $25 cash (You sign a receipt for it) and yo can use it any way you want!

Thank you all for your help. I used my credit in the $1 slots(I figured it would be easier to keep track of free play) & won $21. I used my DH credit on Roulet  (sp)& since I didn't know how to play (used a $5 on just one number) I lost it all in 2 spins!

CCL is bleeding cash for sure but the casino sure isn't.
