Just amazing!   I had thought hiro was my number one aqua theatre show until I saw this.  Blows away the original show on oasis that we stopped going to.

Saw Aqua80 Tuesday night for the forth or fifth time. Still fantastic! I wanted to count the number of dives but I bet it was around 30.

Don’t like Fine Line or Hiro — too much banging, dancing and not enough use of the fabulous Aquatheatre . My son commented when we left Fine Line last month “well, that could have been held in Studio B”. An exaggeration, I know, but his point is well taken.

Hello everyone, and good evening. Today was a perfect day of relaxing. I really didn't do too much. I spent a little time in the Royal Shops. I was unable to miss out on the 2 for $25 t-shirt promo. I was able to get some cologne, because mine was running a little low.

I did however consume a lot of fresh coffee at the Diamond Lounge. The Cafe' Latte is very good, as is the Cafe' Americano. They both offer great flavor and I think I may be addicted. Is coffee addictive? I think it might be. I was also able to watch a little news.

I forgot to mention that I had lunch at Portside BBQ yesterday and I can tell you that there is a lot of food. I had the beef brisket sandwich and it was delicious. It was a little fatty but it was wonderful. I mentioned this because I walked right by Portside BBQ ($) as I went to El Loco Fresh (Free) for lunch today. The fixins' bar is the best. Both of these were great additions to Oasis of the Seas in 2019.

While I was at Portside BBQ, I was able to meet Susie Freckles who has a great FB page and Michael Kho who has a great YouTube channel. Both are very friendly and are new members to my group.

You're a few pics from today. . . Thanks for tuning in.

Good Morning, Have really enjoyed sailing with you again Radio!

I don't normally read the daily activity sheets but I scanned one today and noted in the what to know section, " Body Cameras " are worn by some security personnel. I am saddened to see that even cruise lines have had to go to this level of security.

In the 1980's I was introduced to the fact that two Gurkha's provided security on our ship. Being a small 500 passenger ship ( normal size back then ) they were easy to spot even without their traditional garb and although not visible I was informed they were never without their famous Knifes. I was also told that they were there for crew security ships having so many various nationalities onboard. Many of those were warring adversaries on land in their homelands. But that all were terrified of Gurkha warriors and put their personal animosities aside rather than tangling with a Gurkha.

Doing a fast google as recent as 2015 they are apparently still used on many cruise ships including Cunard and Silver Sea. Again they are retained mostly for crew security activity not passenger. These should not be confused with normal security staff members that are often simply crew in security shirts.

Next time you chat with an Officer I would be curious to hear if they are still using Gurkha's onboard for the more serious situations with crew.

Thanks, George in NY. . .  I remember having Gurkha's as Security in 1996 on Celebrity Century in 1996.

Hello everyone, and good morning. Welcome to DAY 7 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas. (Week 2)

Oasis of the Seas woke up on DAY 7 to a little cooler weather than we have had in the last 2 weeks. It was 61f this morning with a stiff breeze.

The weather forecast for today suggests sunny skies with temps in the mid 80s (f).

This is the final day at sea, and there will be plenty to do for everyone. Indoor activities, outdoor activities, shopping, parade, and packing. Yes, I'm not looking forward to packing after 2 weeks on board. The last thing I will pack will be the "Radio Press Room".

I am planning on attending Captain's Corner in the Royal Theater, and I would also like to attempt public skating in Studio B. I think I am finished at Casino Royale until next time. Lady Luck has been good to me, but I don't want to push it.

I had a great breakfast this morning and Johnny Rockets. It was a delicious bacon and egg sandwich. (Carnival calls it a "Broken Egg" Sandwich). Johnny Rockets was not very crowded which was very nice.

Here are a few pics from this morning.

Thanks for tuning in.

Depending on where we go, we could pass right by you.  Rumors are awash about Bermuda being crippled, but so far, nothing.

Thanks for keeping me occupied prior to my cruise.

Thanks Rogueperson, yes, Adventure of the Seas should be ahead of us going east.
