Balcony for mid-April TA FLL to London?

The Regal Princess does not have OV.

It is $700 more total for a balcony over INT.

We don't mind INT...but DH said for $700 get the balcony.

Is it worth it other than a bit of daylight? 

We are rarely in our room anyway...

Worth it  is  a personal choice

 If you do not use  a balcony much then save the money for other things

 

Depends on the route you take as well

we did NY to Southampton via Canada ..mid April 2019  it rained, snowed & we barely opened the door to the balcony  the whole trip

What other ports, as they will determine the route.

If you will use the balcony  book it

 That is  a lot of sea days  you have to Portugal

It comes down to personal choice

It's apt to be cool, but, having a balcony would add to my enjoyment to such a cruise.  If the air temperature was chilly, a sweater, windbreaker, cap/hat would be what I would wear.  Still too cool?  Get a deck blanket and curl up in that.

I enjoyed a balcony on a transatlantic otherwise I rarely use them.  Balconies are usually cheap upgrades on transatlantics

Personally I would take the balcony. You can certainly sit out there on the crossing if you dress warmly. Is it a 12 day cruise? So it’s about $58 per day for the balcony. If you can afford it go for it.

We require a balcony for trans-atlantics or any other "lots of sea days" cruises.

 

Not required on "lots of ports" cruises.

That must be the Regal on April 16, 2023 - we are also booked on that. Definitely a balcony. We did this same passage in 2018 and the trip across the Atlantic was like going across a lake with the sun shining every day. Morning coffee on the balcony every day is a real treat. See you there!

I just signed up for this cruise!   I have never done a Trans-Atlantic cruise and am looking forward to it.

Or choose an inside that is an easy walk out to an open deck. 

Either an upper sun deck or perhaps the promenade deck, lower down near the lifeboats.
