Is Bingo still a thing?

I’m so relieved to hear there is still bingo! I read that Celebrity is no longer offering bingo, only Deal or No Deal. Though I like Deal or No Deal and look forward to playing it also, it is by no means a replacement for tried-and-true bingo. I did try playing bingo remotely from the Royal Tea in the Piazza ad they overlapped. It made me nervous that if I won, I somehow would not get the prize, but I would assume they have a way of getting it to me??

Winnings are added into your casino account.  If you've not set one up yet it's no problem...just create a new account right there at the casino cage and once done (if you wish) you can cash out right then.  Unless it's late in the cruise I usually just let it ride for a few days and "play on their money"!

No, dementia hasn't set in yet (as far as I know ...), and YES, I am 100% sure this is on Princess. I just played with a tablet two days ago on the Island Princess.

 

Prizes won on tablets are applied to the winner's casino account so there's no issue with locating them for the payout.

 

Those who win on paper must be in the room for the traditional callout and subsequent card verification as well as to receive a cash payout.

There is no "rental" or "purchase" of the tablets. They are included although you must return them. If you look at the cost per card, it's the lowest when you purchase the most expensive package. And, if you choose to use your own device, it's the same price to play.

 

Early in our last cruise many players didn't understand odds and were purchasing only paper tickets. DW, I and another couple were the only players with tablets with 36 cards per game (plus a paper with three cards per game to give you something to do) and for a couple of sessions we all pretty much cleaned up with winnings until the paper ticket players caught on. It was fun while it lasted!

Interesting. It just feels wrong to me....lol. Maybe most people still do play at the venue, I have never seen them identify an absent winner.

I dont think it matters if you are on a tablet or paper card. Actually on my May cruise I won a coverall playing 1 paper card.

We don't like dealing with Fortuna Luck who always seems to run the Bingo, so we didn't play at all on our last 14 day cruise.
