GeorgiaMomof4 Posted December 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2022 Sailing on the Pride for New Year's and we would like to be able to watch some of the Peach Bowl game (GO DAWGS)! First time sailing at New Year's so I was wasn't sure.
1025cruise Posted December 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2022 If the games are on a station they carry, then maybe.
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2022 New Years Day is Sunday, it’s all NFL games. EM
jsglow Posted December 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2022 As EM stated, that's big 'it depends' on the channels they carry and what else is on. So things like the 2 College Football Semi-Finals games, I strongly suspect the answer will be yes. My research shows those games are on ESPN on Saturday evening, 12/31. I'm quite confident that no NFL game is teed up to directly compete. That would be dumb regular season programming. Some lesser bowl like the "WhoGivesaDarn' Bowl on ESPN-3? Outta luck. Just to clarify, there are no bowl games scheduled for Sunday, January 1. Only NFL. EM
ray98 Posted December 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 18, 2022 Shouldn't be an issue.....ESPN is carrying the game and Carnival frequently shows their feed.

It will definitely be a popular game and I agree that would be dumb programming.

Carnival carries ESPN's Caribbean feed. Unfortunately, the Caribbean version of ESPN does not carry anything close to the amount of college football that that is available on the US feed. Consequently, it's possible to have a cricket or soccer match going on at the same time as the college football game you are trying to watch, and Carnival's feed from ESPN will show this. Rare MeganGC1983 Posted December 18, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 18, 2022 I would suggest getting a seat EARLY! We went last year 30 minutes before kick off and some had been there for hours.
Sailing Smooth Posted December 19, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 19, 2022 NFL games probably, but not bowl games. We had to try to watch the Wisconsin Badgers bowl game in Belize Harvest Caye. The bar was playing the games, but the time difference didn't allow for us to watch it.
Cruise, J.D. Posted December 19, 2022 #11 Share Posted December 19, 2022 Last year the Alabama - Cincinatti game was on the big screen. I don't know about the Georgia - Michigan game as I was partying at the lobby bar. 😅

They absolutely show NCAA bowl games, especially one of the biggest of the year aired at primetime on ESPN.
