That does look really special, especially being able to try the Yqem.  I hope all your food is (almost) living up to that standard, Mysty.  And that you will be joining Myster sometimes ashore - is it terribly hot where you are?  I can remember being in Darwin where without aircon it was unbearable for those of us from a cooler climate.  (Our ship had had a disaster with it for several days before we boarded).  I hope yours is managing to cope well.

We have been very happy with the food on this cruise.  😋  No complaints!  The heat has been a challenge.   Not unbearable.  However, I know my body well enough to recognize when some activities are a bridge too far.  So far the ship is doing well.   It's all good! 😁

Looks like an Incredible lunch M, especially the last pairing. I Hope it’s not as uncomfortable there as my first day on Lady Elliot. 42 Celsius and 98% humidity. All of that on an eco resort with little ac and a fan that felt like it was powered by a rubber band that the housekeeper wound up each morning. Stay safe and comfortable xxx

Thank you!  🥰  The humidity is killer!  We had rain yesterday which did not help the humidity factor! 😅  Today is more comfortable!  I'm not dripping sweat just sitting down!

To be fair,  the wilds of Canada do not prepare us for the beastly heat of your spectacular country!  😅  We are thoroughly enjoying our ports in Australia!  I just need to work with my temperature limitations!  😁

As I try to explain to people about why the USA is the last defender of the Imperial Measurement faith:  0 to 100 C is all well and good for a chemist (freezing to boiling of water), but isn't relevant to my daily life.  0 to 100 F is the bounds of decent human existence – that I can relate to every day (especially when planning trips)!

Today is our last sea day before we arrive in Darwin, Australia.  We will fly to Uluru in the morning for a World Cruise event.  In the meantime, the sky this morning was dramatic.....

That's great going to Uluru. It will be hotter at 35C ( 95F) but only a very slight chance of rain. However it is a dry heat with humidity in the low 20% range so should feel better than Darwin at 88F but humidity of nearly 100%.

We are all looking forward to what we hope will be a report on a really lovely experience, Mysty - when you have had a good rest and feel less like a bit of limp pasta.

Back on the Silver Shadow.   Report will follow tomorrow.   Currently feeling like an overcooked piece of spaghetti.

Hope you’re back to your normal al dente self in no time. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

It actually turned out to be pretty good weather in Uluru.  We did have some rain and wind, but it was only in the 80’s.  The wind kept most of the flies away.

The weather did impact the visit to Uluru.  Man plans and the weather Goddess laughs.   😅  Here are photos of the fly-over of the beautiful site.....

And the first photo.....

It had been intended that we would dine under the stars near the Field of Light.  Rain meant a change in plans.  There was an optional excursion to the Field of Light for photos.....

Dinner was held at the hotel.  The Kangaroo salad was delicious and there was entertainment....

The next day there was an optional morning tour.  Myster and I sat that out as we had been in that location years before.  Perhaps other posters have photos.

Some spots we visited years ago are no longer options respecting the sacredness of the site.   Lovely photo.   Thank you @JoGay !

Sorry, I should have mentioned why it is no longer possible to climb it.  I wish we had had more time at Uluru.  I would have like to walk all the way around it.

Yesterday we arrived in Broome, Australia.  We did an excursion called Panoramic Broome & Matso's Brewery.

First stop was Gantheaume Point in Yawuru Park.  Beautiful spot.....

Lastly was Matso's Brewery where we tasted a ginger beer and 4 other brews.  The most potent one was a chili beer.  That one curled my hair!

Today is our second day in Brrome.

We learned something interesting about the tides in Broome.  The Kimberley Coast has the highest tides in the Southern Hemisphere.  The difference between high and low tides is up to around 10 meters (32 feet).  Here are pictures taken from our veranda on deck 5.
