Shareholder Credit with Free Casino Room

All, I have two cruises planned for later this year. Both are ‘free’ cruises using a casino offer.  I am thinking of buying the 100 stocks to get the onboard credits. This will be my 15th Carnival cruise and I probably should have done it sooner.

 

my question is this - can I still get the shareholder onboard credit even if my room was through a casino offer?

They said no to me also. Free cruise, $200 deposit, $200 back as obc.

I submitted a request last Friday and was turned down yesterday.  Not sad though, we got an amazing casino deal.

On our last cruise (free room casino deal), I was turned down when I submitted it.  My husband re-submitted it and was approved.

Conversely, I booked a "free" 13-day transatlantic cruise last week on a casino rate ($100pp with $200 obc) and received an additional shareholder credit of $100 obc two days after I submitted my request.

I always get denied on carnival casino offers, but always get approved on princess casino offers.  

 

Consistency doesn't happen. 

 

But stock has more than paid for itself over the last couple of years.

This is entirely dependent on who reviews your OBC request.  Some people get it, others don't.

One yes, one no.  Same offer, same price, different sailings.  No rhyme or reason.

Booked on casino offer and a couple of days after I submitted shareholders statement got denied.I decided to resubmit last Saturday and have not heard back yet.Maybe that department didn’t work over holiday weekend.It is frustrating when some get it with same offer and some don’t.Cruise is not till May 20 so have plenty of time to see if resubmitting works.

A few get through but generally no.  I would not buy stock on the chance of a maybe.  Although i am up $100 on my $1000 worth!!!

I just had my first denial on a casino rate.  My cabin wasn't even free, just discounted. :(

Just proves inconsistent they are.Still waiting for acceptance or rejection that I sent in last weekend.

Had 3 cruises last year, 2 free and 1 discounted. Got the credit for all 3 cruises. 

The discounted cruise was even upgraded from balcony to suite.
