Other than the standard list

  • Priority check-in, embarkation & debarkation
  • Priority dinner reservations & main dining room time assignment
  • Two complimentary large bottles of water
  • Pillow-top mattresses
  • Bathrobes

Are there any other perks for booking a suite? Also, are the two large complimentary bottles of water per day or per cruise?

Thanks for that link. Hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere else.

Overall, perks seem kind of weak for how much more they charge for these cabins when compared to a normal balcony cabin. Booked this one on a casino offer, but seeing how much they charge for them normally, no way I would pay for it.

I couldn’t imagine booking a suite just for the perks. If you are going to spend that much money on the room, it has to be because the room itself is worth it. Last summer we were upsold to a vista suite on the Spirit for our Alaska cruise. Even though we got it at a discount, it was so worth it to have the aft wrap balcony and a separate living room, bedroom and dressing room. We loved it so much that I booked one on the Pride for our Norway cruise this year at the going rate. But the “perks” that come with it do not matter at all.

Interesting. I'm actually in an Ocean Suite on the Spirit next month. Did you enjoy it? It seems like the Ocean Suite is just slightly bigger than a regular balcony, with a nicer bathroom.

Yes, we absolutely loved the vista suite. But those particular suites actually feel Ike suites since the bedroom and living room are separate. Plus, they have an aft wrap balcony which is the largest balcony on any cruise ship.  Not sure I would pay full price for an ocean suite, however. I much prefer booking early and getting the special bowling alley balcony rooms on ships where they are priced the same as regular balcony rooms.

Good to know. We are booked in a vista suite for our Norway cruise coming up soon.  I am trying to decide if I should cancel my cheers package and just pay per drink since Cheers is not included in room service and I was looking forward to sitting on my balcony instead of a bar.

Not gone. The Excel Suites get a lot more perks, including access to Loft 19.  But as of now, that’s only for Mardi Gras and Celebration.
