Allure of the Seas deck suggestion

Recommended Posts

Getting ready to book a Grand Suite on Allure of the Seas just looking for suggestions on which deck y'all would choose. I'm thinking deck 8 due to close proximity to Central Park. This will be a girls only trip with my sister. I just finished treatment for breast cancer and I wanted to celebrate with a cruise. My hubby and son don't want to go and my daughter will be finishing up her junior year in college and does not want to go either. My sister stepped up and I'm super excited. TIA for your suggestions.

Think deck 8 would be fine. Central Park is really nice especially in the evening.

First, congrats on finishing treatment!  I think Deck 8 is a great place to be on Allure.  I booked it originally and ended up moving because of my budget.  It's nice to be close to Central Park and Park Cafe.

Deck 6 for more.  Boardwalk right there.  2 decks up to CP  one deck down to the Promenade, and 2 decks down to Casino

I second this.  Definitely deck 6.  You are within 2 decks (easily walkable) of TONS of things.

Deck 6 is my favorite.

Deck 8 is my second favorite.

You can’t go wrong with either.

I’d pick one or the other.  I would not split the difference and choose 7.

If I had a variety of suites to select from, I’d go pick one that is aft elevators to midship.

Not sure when your cruise will be but wanted to set expectations on central park.  Allure lost almost all of their plants in a freeze earlier this year and and slowly growing/replacing them but it looks like it will be a process.  I imagine it was very nice when full but when we went 3 weeks ago it was quite sad and a shell of what it would have been.  Just wanted to make sure you were aware and not too disappointed.

Congrats on your recovery!

Deck 8 is the best!!.  To get from your cabin to anywhere on the ship, you simply walk to the nearest elevator.  If the venue is on the other side of the ship you stroll through Central Park (so nice to se trees and plants on a ship) before riding the other elevator.

On other decks you have to walk down a long narrow hallway to get to the other elevator.  I'd much better walk in Central Park

Just got off Allure. The lower plants are about 3/4 restored and saw new planting constantly. The trees are untouched so far but hopefully soon will be back. I expected the worse and it was pretty good.

Our first time on Allure we sailed deck 6 and then same thing on Symphony the following year.  It was great for the kids with proximity to the boardwalk.  This last year we sailed on deck 8 and loved it.  We also did UDP and being right there on deck 8 was wonderful.  Breakfast most days in Park Cafe which has the best options for us as well.  Can't go wrong with either but if UDP and walking through CP every night is your thing then go with deck 8.

The Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen are only accessible from the aft elevators, for this reason it's better to be closer to the aft elevators than the forward elevators.

is there a time limit to edit a post?

It looks like all of the Grand Suites are near the aft elevators, probably for this reason.
