Shareholders benefit

Does the Shareholders benefit still exist on Princess? You know, if you own a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival stock you can get a cabin credit.

If it still exists does anyone have a link to the site to apply for it

Yes, still exists. You send your claim to the relevant office, (UK, US etc) with proof of ownership.

Sorry, can't post a link at present, but details are easily found via a simple Google search.

Yes it still exists, if you google or search the boards (look up princess or ccl stockholder benefits) you will find the information.  If you email the information they post your credits right away (mine have always been within 24 hours)

This is the one and only correct answer so far.

I thought my answer was correct ?

Not complete, but certainly not incorrect.

Hmmm, are you saying that the email I posted above is not correct? So far, it has always worked for me.  Anne

We are nitpicking here! 😄 You said "a link"... (that is an email address...)  I know...splitting hairs!

It actually is not the correct answer to the question and does not state what information is required to successfully apply for and receive OBC as a shareholder.

There is a form you can use to submit the request but it is not necessary. I simply snip and paste my booking info from the Princess web site as well as verification from my online brokerage statement showing that I do own the stock. In addition to these things I include my name, phone number, and email.

You can email it to the address shown above ( sbpcl@princesscruises.com ) or you can FAX it to:

ATTN: Booking Support

661-753-0180

Should you choose to use FAX it is easy (and free) to use faxzero.com

In the UK they tend to enforce the 3 month rule. ie you cannot apply more than three months in advance of your cruise date.

Fortunately in North America they still immediately apply SOBC after booking a cruise & the procedure should be standardized worldwide. Last week we booked the very popular Around Australia cruise (mostly only Guarantees now) in March 2025 & our SOBC was added within hours of applying for the benefit.

Here’s their SOBC request form that has not been updated in several years but does provide the basic requirements & as Thrak posted using the form is not required & only submitting the required info including the proof of owning 100 shares.

Since requiring advance payment for booking tours several years ago, I have been able to immediately apply even years in advance. That allows shareholders to use SOBC as payment as soon as they are available. Based on my experience last week in North America they do not enforce the share’s statement to be within 3 months of sailing. Also being a simple credit to onboard accounts from which all onboard spending is deducted it is usable for the casino & gratuities.

I use the email address that ‘Mark+Anne’ posted to quickly get my SOBC added:

That was the exact form my DH submitted yesterday afternoon.  It appeared on our account within hours.  We sail the end of September.

I used to use that form until 2 or 3 years ago.  I just put all of the info it asks for in the body of an email and attach a redacted copy of the shareholder's statement.  One less form to attach & deal with.

It was not an issue for us.

Super speedy, I screenshot my statement showing my shares and attached to email with my name, booking number in topic line for 2 BTB August sailings at 3.30 today and account credited today by 5.00pm. WOW.
