Currently on quantum of the seas and approx 1hour ago an Oscar Oscar Oscar call was placed.

They currently have 4 boats on the water searching, and have requested all guests return to their rooms.
It is currently midnight ship time so very dark.we are due into Hawaii in 2 days on route from Tahiti. 

Praying it is a false alarm.

Oh dear..hope they manage to locate him. It’s not impossible.

 

Many years ago a crew member jumped overboard, wanting to go for a swim..possibly on drugs or having had too much to drink. He was rescued by ship’s crew…was in the daytime though, in the Med. I have photos of him being wrapped in blankets in a lifeboat before being taken to the ‘isolation hospital’ on the ship.

Me, too.  We are going on our first cruise in February and I already had to discuss this with my 12-year-old daughter.  She got a fear that she might accidentally fall overboard and no one would notice.  She isn't normally fearful.  I had to explain that people don't accidentally fall overboard.
