If they’re like us, we have access to club class dining, but our travel companions do not. We elect to dine with them in the main dining room and therefore book dining times for the four of us on the app.

Still, I might let DR Mgmt know you won't be using the CC section.  Not sure if it affects their planning.

We have other perks that come with being elite and in a suite.

I figured you were booking a Suite and not a Mini.  Otherwise, why book a CC Mini if not going to use that section?

Elite and Platinum have early access to dining reservations so yes that added information was helpful.

Per enough reports on various Princess threads, guests who are not entitled to early booking using DMW are indeed being able to make bookings.  Either there is a bug that randomly allows it in particular situations or everyone has the access and we just don't hear about it that much.  What we don't know is if PCL changed their policy and (as usual) have not updated the doc, or do they just want to try and hide a situation where Platinum and Elite have lost another perk, or is there an actual bug that has been present for some time now?

Thank you for the correction.
So how early?
I sail in June and booked last Sept and booked MDR and Specialty as soon as had confirmation and months before the final payment due.

Early access - if eligible in theory - begins as soon as a deposit is down on a booking and the Princess App has the booking in its database.

  • Most guests will be able to access once your cruise is paid in full.
  • Early access for Captain's Circle Platinum and Elite members as well as guests booked in Reserve Collection and Suites.

See comments above.  I don't know if any customers know what the real situation is.

Trying to make dinner reservations using the Medallion app, we are Elite status,  but it always says unavailable.   Is it down?

I had all of my dinner reservations made and wanted to change a few. But, the system was "unavailable" all weekend and, as of Monday AM, appears to be down still. Maybe the IT folks will come to work today and fix it.

I've been having issues as well.  Had some times already booked.  Now not all of my (Premier Pkg) specialty dining credits are showing up when I went to book those.  Booked the specialty venue but would only credit me for one guest.  So now I'm out $39 (charged me right away) until I can get sorted out (I guess onboard?)   And now it won't give me option to cancel any reservation.

I'm not typically one to fuss about the app but it's been very glitchy lately.  And I have also gotten the "Sorry none available" message (if that wasn't clear).

I am also having the same problem. I went in to review my previously booked reservations and all were changed from private dining to dining with with guests as well as changes made to the timings. I tried to change them back but received the same error message. Frustrating and a waste of my time.

I had problems booking dining via the app saying it had to be fully paid for before booking reservations. I was well past that point! Then found a workaround...

I went to the Web based version of the app and all dining reservations could be made no problem. They then appeared in the app and after that point I could make changes without a problem.

Still unable to make changes to my reservations in the app. Went to the web-based version and was finally successful. I will continue to periodically monitor my reservations to see if changes are made again without my knowledge.

Where did you go on the web based ? When I clicked on dining, it said Dine My Way is only available on the app. I was still using my smart phone…does it need to be through a computer?

I've had problems since i booked my December cruise on 3/30.  Being Elite, I could make the MDR reservations, but the app wanted to charge me the cover charges for specialties even though I have the Premier package. Now I get the "no reservations available" message.

Tried to do the web-based version and get a message stating "this booking has already been claimed", so I can't access that.

Besides the dining fiasco, the app does not show any of the packages included with Premier. It's directs me to purchase wifi, beverages, etc. And it wants to charge me $10 to ship the medallions, which is free with any package. It apparently doesn't recognize that the Premier package was purchased.

Tried calling Princess, they couldn't help. My TA told me that I wasn't his only client experiencing problems and that Princess told him that I should wait until the bugs are fixed.

I noticed that there was an updated version of the app available last week, so I deleted the app and reinstalled the update version. That's when I started to get the nothing available message.

My guess (and it's only a guess) is that Princess realizes that the dining reservations system is completely messed up so they've just shut it down until it's fixed. What a mess!

We have several cruises for which we’ve never been able to make dining reservations. We have two cruises later this summer for which we could and did. I check them every day. Today they all changed and when I try to change them back, they tell me nothing else is available.

The web based app is at https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/

Remember to select the correct language at the top of the login page.

Thanks for this. I was able to log in with this link, however, the same problems still exist for me. It still wants to charge for shipping medallions and specialty dining is not an available option.

Do you go to breakfast in Sabatini’s without your friends ?  If you are elite you already have one mini bar and free laundry. Except for a second mini bar what perks you are looking at

We cruise anywhere from 6-8 weeks a year and still have never booked a speciality restaurant in advance and have always gotten in. Now it might help that our normal dining times are 7:30 to 8:00

well, being on a comped casino , and then upgrading to a suite does have its' privileges ... as it should

I clicked in dining and it worked for me (web version). I did it in my iPad…

I’m not sure why you’re so concerned about what we do and don’t do on a ship, or who we do it with.
