I've read about a casino comped cruise but don't know what this is.  Could someone explain?

Casino Comp Cruises / aka Players Club are offered to cruisers who have played and gambled in the casino when they play a certain amount of money. Cruisers then will be offered comp Cruises via mail. It's to help entice cruisers who are offered a comped cruise to To sell with the hopes of them continuing to gamble in the casino.

Usually free inside cabin occasionally free balcony with the ability to upgrade from there. Sometimes it comes with Princess Plus if not you can pay to add. Free play in the casino is usually offered we have seen from &150 - 1,000 per person per cruise. $200 per person deposit which comes back to you as OBC and is non refundable. All charges must be paid on booking. If you don’t gamble much I doubt you would get much of sn offer

I’m curious how much one must play (contribute?) to be offered these comps. I typically play a few hours of blackjack and occasionally poker tournaments but have never gotten them.

We play slots around 2 hours or more per day on our cruises. I would doubt that a few hours per cruise will get much in the way of offers. They look at how much you gamble not amount of losses

I watched a YouTube video on this once. And the vlogger played $2,000 just on slots and then he was offered his first ever comped cruise offer

You have to make sure whatever you play in the casino that your points are tallied. Usually on the last night of the cruise you may receive a letter with offer of  casino free cash to play on a future cruise. It could be my imagination but it seems more offers are given out recently because they need to fill up the ships.

I knew that part and have always done so. I guess I just haven’t played enough and almost never play slots either.

I would think that at a minimum you would need to play $1,000 at least on a 7 day cruise

I don’t know how much trouble they are gave filling ships anymore. Most of my cruises in the last 6 months have been pretty full

did the 'vlogger' state how much they either won or lost on those $2,000 spins? - I'm guessing that doesn't really matter when it comes to getting a comped cruise offer - just the amount of wagers?

They do mention how much they do win. They definitely walked away winning without a loss if I'm not mistaken but honestly it's been a while ago since I saw that video by La Lido Loca.

Yes they only look at the amount bet. On table games it is more of an estimate from the pit boss they basically take your average wager per hands dealt or time spent. They will note at the table who is at what pisition

I met several on my last cruise (just returned) who were sailing free due to casino rates. Our ship was not full.

There are definitely more of them sailing than I think I've ever recalled because more and more people I meet they always tell me do not know how to get a free cruise and I find out they're usually in the players club. I've met several people who seem to be professional in the players club as they will spend almost an entire year sailing off of these comp cruises

We cruise around 50 days a year on these crises always upgrade to full suites usually 3 cruises 10 to 20 days each cruise ( counting b2b cruises as 1). You cannot get comps on any cruise over 21 days or more. As an example we are on b2b cruises next week for 14 days total   We have $1,700 in free play between us. I should sldo mooted the total of &800 in OBC from deposits

If you gamble and want to earn enough points for an offer at the end of the cruise, you need to gamble your "budget" prior to the last full day of cruise.

ie:  ship leaves on Saturday, returning on Saturday - gamble Saturday thru Thursday.  If you gambled enough (earned enough points) you will receive an offer on Friday morning when your steward cleans your room.

on our last cruise, I had 4,700+ points, my husband 4,200 points - we both received the same offer

a free interior cabin, with drinks, wi-fi, and crew appreciation included and $150 in casino free play.

offer is valid up to 12 days on select Alaska, California Coast, Canada & New England, Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, Panama Canal sailings only.  You have 7 months to go and you have to book with 45 days from the date of the offer

ie:  our offer was dated 04/22 and we had to sail before Nove 18, 2023

I believe that if you get over 5,000 points you will get offered a balcony.  My husband had all balcony offers for last year and we took 7 cruises on those offers.  I normally get the interior cabin offer.

We used to always get balcony offers but over the last 6 months or so that has dropped to insides. Believe me we do not gamble any less except for the 2 cruises one or both of us got covid

I have been compd on multiple 25-32 day cruises. This was one of our favorite offers yet.

I have only seen this inn Australian cruise. I have an offer of $2,000 free play per person but only on Australian cruises which  I will probably never use

This is a non-issue.  You cannot gamble (slots or table) in the casino without logging in with your Medallion.

We end up with ~500 points or so from slots, and receive discount offers.  The Alaska discounts for this summer were substantial (US$50 pp plus fees/taxes) for a 7/10/11 day cruise.  We booked a mini-suite on a 10 day cruise in August for CAD$1000 total. (~200pp + fees/taxes).
