But what I want to know is how many points end up getting you an invitation to cruise free or how much money do you have to invest before that?  I always cash out with almost any win, last time was only $59.  So I'm a casino chicken!  But we have heard so much about casino cruises we thought it might pay off???? Que'???

No habla Espanoille (Spanish).

But good question.

I am signature from before April first. So earned that status.
Working on keeping it.
As far as investment of cash goes. Dunno. Keep playing off what the slot reals give me.
RCI sent me a pamphlet last August’s for a free cruise in GS. we upgraded.

Sea you.

Yep, we bought the special Cactus stuff that is supposed to stop that, but we've never gotten any such rash and never used the stuff.  And we've been there many times.  Go again in Sept

Where do I purchase the Cactus stuff? Will be in Roatan in a few weeks. Thanks!

Sea ya.

Wait Sue, we know her for sure.  Her name had slipped our minds but she has a smile you can not forget.

Please say hello from the three of us.  Let her know we were usually in the Star Loft aft suite.

Lioness, thank you so very much for your posts!! We were on Allure in a balcony last August. In a few weeks, we will be in the suite next to yours. You have helped so much.

How far in advance should we arrive for Mama Mia? In August, we lined up super early and waited for the doors to open. We didn't have the reserve section, of course. So, looking forward to arriving later this trip.

Thanks again!!

I would be at the doors walking in about 20 min before show. Big section of saved suite seats.

I have read of various products.

I am usually a magnet for anything that bites so I like to keep informed. Fortunately I have never had any problems and have visited various locations on the island.

I have never used any products but I have certainly seen and read about people that have been affected by the itching which can go on for several days.

Feet looking good. Doing a good job keeping the swelling down.

So for todays agenda since I cannot sit out on my balcony in my Victoria’s secrets ( not pretty) PJs due  to interference and I do not want to be seen

 on any social media sites.

I decided to set out on a mission to find out if any information is available on Florida 3/4 day cruises

To begin with the general census is that they will be busier.
Ok

I proceed to inquire about the shows and how they can have enough seating for over 6,000 guests in 3/4 days.
The response was as good as a gossipers rumor. And what I am hearing is ship talk.

First of all

RUMOR #1.
No more mama Mia. It ran its course. And no other show replacements at this time.
And besides in their contracts they are required to do only certain amount per week.

Rumor #2

No more pre booking shows. A roped off line will be those willing to see a show wait there turn like Disney does first come first served.

RUMOR #3

Mo more free press and fold on short cruises.

That’s all I know.

Sea you.

I hope the rumors about Momma Mia going away are wrong.  Maybe we should start a "Keep our Momma" petition on RCCL's website.  It is so much better than most of the shows they have, especially the ones they commission just for the ships.  I thought the "Columbus, the Musical" one on Harmony was horrible.

I just started a thread on the Royal Caribbean Blog.  Maybe if enough of us complain (beg!!), they will reconsider

I could see RCI eventually getting away from shows that they have to pay royalties for. Their whole mindset seems to be saving money.

However, when I was on Odessey this past February, the CD was talking about shows on the various ships. I don't remember how long she said the contracts for Mamma Mia and CATS have left to go but I remember thinking that both shows will be around for awhile.

I still don't understand how they are going to make this work on short sailings. Maybe the show would be moved to a different ship doing longer sailings? I'm just musing as I have no idea what is going to happen.

Remember. The talk about Allure is “rumors”. No one knows for sure what is going on.

And finding the right person to inquire is impossible.

So for now. Can only be happy and thrilled we are on Allure.

However one change was noted with Aqua show. The airealist (sp) are gone. Just the water show.

Crazy quest was a small turnout. About half of the cruisers attended than a full house pre-COVID.

No luggage Valet to airports. You bring it you haul it.

I agree.  They seem to be very cost conscious these days (often to the detriment of the cruise experience).  As far as Mamma Mia goes, they currently do 3 shows a week on their 7-day voyages, I could see them doing it on Days 1 & 4 on the 4-day cruise and Day 2 on the 3-day cruise.  Same number of shows per week.  The capacity on their theaters is about 1400 so I suspect there wouldn't be a lot of people on a 3-day who wanted to see the show and couldn't.  I'd just hate to see it go.  CATS on the other hand would not be missed.

Allure has been my favorite ship for years because of the entertainment onboard. I love Mama Mia! I have sit through it repeatedly and loved it every time. It does seem that Royal is cutting cost everywhere they can. Oh well, I'll still enjoy the cruise and look for the triple red hot machine in the smoking area of the casino;) Thanks for that tip! We're booked on Allure for a b2b (4+5) and another short cruise, but I hope to get another offer to make that one a b2b also.

Thanks! Interesting. D+ free Wash & Fold has always only been available on sailings of 5 nights or longer. So that one is true. It won't be on the 3/4's. ☺️ Unless you are talking about a suite perk?

Sue, please tell Marianne that the mom of the mega blond with last name Petrovic says hi! Tell her she helped us write the Serbo-Croatian letter to grandma. She knows who we are, and we always look for her!!!
