Princess Cruise Casino Comps While Onboard Questions ?

Hi there thank you for taking your time to read my questions about the Casino onboard the ships.

I have the following questions I was curious about ..

When playing at the casino is there someone you ask to see if you can get drinks comped for while playing like soda or water if you don’t have the packages? Of course it depends on play time and bet but I’m on a 32 night cruise so just curious

When playing at the tables or the slots over time Do the casino hosts offer any comps like free dinner at Alfredos Crown Grill. Are you able to ask for a wine bottle or champagne for dinner at the main dining room from the casino host? If so how much play do you need to have to get these comps

i have heard you can get spa treatments from the casino host anyone know the level of play needed for this ?

thank you for your time

happy cruising

My wife has been treated to the Crowne Grill, a bottle of champagne, and have been offered spa treatments [which we've declined].  We have also had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the cabin compliments of the casino.

I have no idea how much gambling is required for these comps.

I've had a host offer me a drink while I was waiting for them to complete the information for my W-2 G and reset the machine after a jackpot.  I think it takes a LOT of points to get a drink package.

You are more likely to get future cruise offers for free cabins rather than something on the current cruise. We have been offered a meal in Sabatini’s in the past and usually have to tell them not to send the strawberries ( they don’t really hold up)

The strawberries are not good but I don’t mind the chocolates 😎

We cruise using our offers from the casino.  Usually a free cabin plus casino play money.

The only time we get free drinks, or offers of a free dinner has been on a VIP cruise.

We are regular casino players, but not high rollers, so we do not get approached by the casino rep unless we are on a VIP, or Slot tournament cruise.

Once you are established as a casino player and get offers for the casino discount, or free cabins, you will receive emails/flyers that indicate the special cruises.

We enjoy the VIP cruises.

Does Princess not offer free drinks while actively gambling?

The only time my DH got free drinks in the casino was on one of the special VIP cruises when it was included as one of the special perks. It was only in the casino and you had to be wearing the badge that identified you as one of the VIP casino group members.

On our other regular cruises, some of the perks the host has provided include free dinners in the specialty restaurants, free bottles of water, chocolate covered strawberries, box of chocolates, champagne and flowers. They usually arrange some nice things like that while you are onboard. And then of course your come back offer for your next cruise at the end.

DH loved to throw those dice and it has come with some nice cruising benefits! 😊

I play tables. "Offered" no, but anytime when I order a drink I would ask the "floor" person whether he/she would comp my drink, the answer was always Yes. It didn't matter how many drinks I had, they were always free.

Me and a couple of playing buddies at my table ($25m/BJ) were also offered free specialty dining on my last cruise.

My last cruise, one guy at the craps table asked the pit boss to comp him his drink, every drink he ordered.  The drink was always comped, but only because the player asked.

Thanks to all for the responses!  Looking forward to checking it out.  We have primarily cruised Celebrity.  We spend way too much time in the casino.  🙂On Celebrity, drinks are comped while gambling and we love the non-smoking aspect.  Perks and offers, however, are terrible!  At least for us.

Back in June, on our table, I was tipping pretty well; and the pit boss kept asking to comp my drinks, which was kind of useless as I had the Plus package.  Anyway, sometimes he'd offer the same to the entire table.  A lot of folks without the Plus package did take advantage of that offer.  I guess it's timing and how friendly/engaged the management staff is.

In early May on the Discovery. There were a few of us that played craps almost every night and when our dealer bets were hitting the boxman would wave down a waiter for a round of drinks for the table.

Regarding the "Come Back Offer" have you had this offer on Australian sailings?

Sorry, haven’t done an Australian sailing. Still on the bucket list. Maybe someone else can offer insight.

Have not received any Come Back Offers on my Australian/NZ .   Never bothered to ask why because they were next to useless anyway - required to  book within a month , sail within six months in NZ/ Aust.- had a choice of three cruises that were eligible to meet the criteria- given no sailings in the region during winter here !!

Nor did I get an offer on my Japan sailing on the Diamond last year.  The Casino host said they were not offering them on that ship/ itinerary.

CBS offers are not offered on Australian cruises.  They, do however offer free play.  I got a certificate for $1500 of FP on the Royal last month.  It has to be used on an Australian cruise!  #whenis$1500not$1500?

Having said that—the offers I get in my account for Australian cruises continue to be dramatically better than for US cruises.  Elite offers, freeplay of $1500 (last year, one was $2000). I’ll have to let future offers for Australia go now—we’ve been here for 4 months come the end of April.  Time to board the World Cruise!

From observations over many days spent in the casino on princess ships..it seems like at 4000 points a host will come offer you some sort of dinner comp; then at 10,000 points again, and every 10,000 points after that.

yea I earned 54,000 points on my last 7-day; and the couple I sat next to each day earned 100,000 and 150,000 respectively. (He was one of the founding members of Costco)

they also said that they were unhappy with what they were getting in comparison to their point earnings.
(FWIW, we both got the “top” ComeBackSoon offer of Free Suite/Plus/$2500 Freeplay)

We both run 10,000 points each and only get specialty dinners when the casino screws something up with our free play. What we usually get is daily “presents” to the cabin
