Bon Voyage for your cruise home to NZ.  Thanks for Honolulu photos.  Looks like a lot of new development since we were last there.

The two cruises we did in and out of Honolulu were from the Aloha Tower berth. Where do they park these days?

They just called it Pier 11 when we were there in 2019 but it sounds like the same place you're talking about.

Ship was docked along side of the Aloha Tower. Tower was right in front of our table in the Horizon Court. Went outside on promenade deck to see and hear a luau taking place next to the Aloha Tower

Not too far. A 20 odd minute walk around the harbour. A pic of Solstice in 2018, taken from Aloha Tower.

Hello from the Grand Princess,

Today we where in Papeete, (Tahiti), French Polynesia.

We had a nice day there.

In the morning we have a look around the town, and in the afternoon, I went Scuba Driving again, which was fun! 🙂

As we sailed from Papeete we meet up with the Royal Princess, which was cool, but neither ship blow there horns 😰.

Just curious........... What is the significance of chucking flour about?

Easy for staff to clean up afterwards 😉

It is so much easier and available  (they use a mixture of flours) on board than throwing roses and carnations.

Commonly available substance that makes a mess but is inert and comparatively easy to clean up - even when there are eggs being thrown about.

I presume it is much more fun on Grand Princess than on HMAS Onslow.

When we departed from Papeete on Monday 9th October 2023, we (Grand Princess) sailed passed the Royal Princess, as she was heading in to Papeete!

Here are some photos of the passing:
