The Choir of Man lead guy did say last week to the audience they were going to be in the States very soon starting in FL doing their show. So assuming they are not long for the Escape. I believe he said February but not certain. And planned on multiple cities across US.

There are traveling groups for shows all the time.  Lion King recently had a run in the city where I work, but they didn't bring the show up from Broadway.  Also - the performers on the ship don't always change out at the same time, so the lead could possibly be going to a traveling group when his contract on the ship is up.

They've already closed a number of shows and this is going into the theatres where the shows used to be.  I'm not sure how this is not a replacement for the shows.

The big production shows are generally no more than 2 nights per week. The other 5 days have to be filled with something. Crew show, singer, comedian, magician...game shows...

Yeah…the performers rotate in and out.

Syd’s and Cavern Club are both OUTSTANDING shows, also!!!!

The Price is Right on Prima didn't have a cost.   Hopefully 'Wheel' is complimentary.

Oh, wow, I wasn't aware of that.  That is encouraging news, let's hope this new one on the other ships is similar.

Hope the prizes are better than trivia, got me a genuine Norwegian Cruise Lines deck of cards.  Wow, 52 cards for free!

Of course the audience participation will be at a cost, similar to Deal or No Deal, I assume.

Nice move NCL, replace a free broadway show with a revenue generating game show.  True to form, it's all about increasing that onboard spend (aka nickle and diming).

This is more like Price is Right audience participation which is free.

Cool prize.

Over the years, I accumulated (from NCL & RCCL) a deck of cards, pens, a water tight pouch with neck strap, and, back in the good old days, caps and an umbrella. Can't wait to clean up some more primo loot.  😁

This seems like the Wheel will have less appeal on the itineraries outside of the US due to language differences.  Games that use numbers or knowledge are more universal.  Wheel uses words and phrases. Hmmm.

and, by no means will this be free.

Deal or No Deal is being advertised in the entertainment list for Bliss for my upcoming cruise, thankfully Six and Jersey boys will also still be on. I think the current cast for Six will be the last for that show on Bliss. The main production (broadway type) show casts change every 6 months or so. I saw brand new casts twice on Escape and Breakaway for 2 other shows, both had their teething issues on the first night. Another show that’s not renewing is Priscilla on Epic, they had a bunch of issues with that show after the covid resumption with cast members getting sick.

Price is Right on Prima was free. They randomly pick contestants from audience.

So hopefully Wheel will be free too.

That would be nice for sure. But when the VP of Onboard Revenue puts out a press release about a new gaming opportunity, it would be counter-intuitive to believe this will be complimentary (at least in the current market).  Plus the equipment and partnership with Sony and Time Play come with a cost.

Reports from those who have played it on Escape is that audience participation is NOT free.  You have to pay to play, like Bingo or Deal or No-Deal.

Deck of Cards?  That was many years ago, right?  Only prizes I've seen lately are pens.

On the Prima, they have the Broadway show and the game show. There is no cost.

Different strokes for different folks, IMHO.  We paid to cruise, NCL will have to paid us to sit in that theater among hundreds to watch or participate ...

Some will like, others will not, others are indifferent, free to skip it - I suppose, that's not entirely against the spirit of "freestyle cruising"  paving & leading the changes for the industry.

Our CAS friends that sometimes cruise with us commented, why bother going to the main theater or sit in that packed atrium like sardines ... head over to the casino, find the WOF bandit and play directly, nice payout, if & when hitting that big one.  😆 😊 😂
