Coastal kitchen, Access

Nice that the waiter apologized for the extremely rude couple.  I figured that you were sailing in a full suite.

Yeah, we seem to be doing that all the time now.  Even on booking little Enchantment for next year, with far less venues to offer (no CK/SL)...we booked a GS cabin.  Seems just to fit us well.  😉

It has always come up on the interactive TV under "account" for us.

The app usually shows it under the account link ($0 line item) as soon as it's rung up.

The problem is when we have breakfast lunch and dinner in CK along with some wine or beer in the afternoon there is a lot of coastal kitchen $0.00 per day ... cannot tell what they are for specifically

We sailed in a JS on Indy a few months ago and booked unlimited dining, which we enjoyed.  It was a four night cruise.

We did a family cruise in August and although I enjoyed the company, the MDR is noisy especially when they do the shows and I'm spoiled with CK food.

OMG...the filet last night in CK was fantastic!  One of the best steaks we have ever had, and we have been to Chops, Giovannis, and CK many times in the past.  This one was the best!  😋

Junior Suites do have priority over Pinnacles for dinner only at CK when full suites haven't taken all of the dinner reservations. Junior Suites cannot access CK or the Suite Lounge at any other times. It is a published benefit of Sea Class.  If Pinnacles are allowed access, they can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at CK along with full all day access to the Suite Lounge. There are very few benefits to Sea Class and Junior Suites are considerably more expensive than other lower cabin categories.  I feel that Pinnacles have great access to the amenities unless it is a top tier heavy cruise.  Not weird at all.

Totally agree -- that's why we try for GSs when we get a deal (sailing on Allure B2B in a GS with an incredible price from when it was first offered) or have some extra money.

On the family cruise, we could have had CK reservations every night -- we did eat there on Formal Night.  August 6 -- high summer with lots of families and few Pinnacles.  We used the Suite Lounge as much as possible and took advantage of Concierge assisted departure for Suite and Pinnacle Guests as well as the continental breakfast.  We were in a JS -- so had both forms of access.

Hello,

Can I go slightly off-topic and ask this question?

Presuming the speculation that Indy will replace Anthem out of Southampton in 2025 is correct, where do Suites & Pins dine where there is no CK?

Regards,

Cublet

recognition ceremony at the Top Tier Event

We have no plan to attend ours, as it's simply a nice status that we've purchased over the years.  We look fwd to the benefits that come w/ it, but won't really be interested in showing our status ship-wide in any form (party/pins/etc).  You suggest we notify the C&A rep prior to sailing to help them avoid any unnecessary efforts (cake/etc)?  Thanks.

I did not attend mine. I just told the LA once  onboard

The one question I forgot to ask (and I’m sure someone on here will know) is if we had not upgraded would we still have gotten C&A points ?  I think the answer is “yes” but there were some rumblings a while back about not receiving C&A points on comped cruises. Not sure how that finally resolved.

No C&A points for a free Pinnacle cruise unless you pay "something" towards the cruise, beyond port fees and taxes.

Yes, I knew the casino comps get points (these are the vast majority of our cruises) but thought I remembered that there was some issue with the pinn comps.  Glad I upgraded a little bit.  Thanks, @Merion_Mom for that info.

If you apply your Pin cruise certificates to an already booked cruise, you will have already paid the deposit and will get the points awarded for that cruise. We do that with ours and have never had an issue.

Ooops...sorry.  Currently on Wonder...day 3.  Doing B2B, so hoping next week's filet is as good.  The fish I had last night was good also.

Yes, I would definitely notify the LA as soon as you can to avoid unnecessary preparations.  Chances are, the LA will already be looking for you !  LOL

When do you expect to "turn" ?

Regarding the comp Pinn cruise, are there blackout dates like the casino tier cruises?

Yes.  Basically the same black-put periods.  I don't recall the LA mentioning anything about black-out periods during the summer but holidays and new ships, for sure.

Yes, had it also!! Best menu there is the first nite. But last nite I tried the lobster salad with the pineapple & vanilla sauce, for the 1st time-delish! And the shrimps in the shrimp cocktail is huge. Who needs chops, etc.

Grace told us that you both eat at CK real early, so we haven’t seen you yet. We go later, at 7:30pm.

interesting that the system doesn’t catch that.

LOL...yup, we are "old farts".   😄   Used to eat later, enjoying snacks and drinky poos before dinner.

Now...(our age showing here) we eat at first seating.  Also do traditional first seating in the MDR on ships without a CK.  (Really detest what they did to MTD program).

It does help us easily make it to the early shows though.

There's nothing to catch. Once you have paid the deposit on a cruise, the Pinnacle certificate covers whatever is left other than port fees and taxes, so it is not a free cruise.

Just became pinnacle yesterday. The loyalty ambassador gave us the crown & anchor card with phone # on it, to only call them for the free cruise. You should just be paying the port charges & ins, not the $200 deposit also.

This was an already booked cruise, so since we had already paid the deposit, we were able to apply the certificate and also accrue the points.

YIPPEE !!!  Congratulations !!!

Now I’ve been watching ch1 in our cabin. When I see the top tier event on TV, I’ll take some pics of the TV with our phone!

They’re showing the rerun of the Love & Marriage game now.

The older couple won last nite for their Halloween costume- they were titanic victims!!

Wore great waterlogged & shredded clothes, from the early 1900’s!
