Drinks on Us everywhere

Just booked another offer with DOU everywhere, then realized it is just for me (every other time I've booked this it includes companion).  When I called the casino line they confirmed it is just for me.  They told me I could buy the cheers package for my wife.  In the cruise planner if I click to buy the cheers package, it only allows me to purchase the package for both of us, which I obviously don't need.  Any insight or past experiences please?

Needs to be done once you board. Website wont adjust. Go to Guest Services and they can help.

Then of course there is the breakeven point of around 7.5 drinks per day to consider. 

 

And if you were to share??? Might be less $$$ to purchase as you go.

My GF gets the very same thing.  Since we are not big drinkers she will "buy" a drink for herself then wait 5 minutes and "buy" another drink and hand it to me.  The computer locks you out for 5 minutes between "purchases".  Of course every drink she "buys", no matter who consumes it, counts towards the 15 drinks per day maximum.

We have went that route before, she gets offers for DOU in casino when we book separately. She wants to not have to have me order her drinks.  Buying the cheers package for her will more than makeup for the aggravation of having me get her drinks. I was given the option to use a different offer with DOU for me and companion, with a much lower Freeplay offer.  Hopefully I'll parlay the extra Freeplay into much more than the cheers package costs us.  If not, oh well we wouldn't be getting these offers if we didn't risk more than $1000 anyways

you can call and get it just for her.

No.  You can either buy it for both precruise and get the discount, no refunds if you cancel onboard. Or you buy for one onboard at the onboard price.  No adjustments.

I don't think they can help you at guest services.  I think you need to go to a bar and ask for a manager to approve Cheers for just one person. That is what we had to do. Things may have changed though. You will not get the discount.

It is more than cheating.  You can be charged for both packages, lose future casino offers and the drink servers face disciplinary   action

Boxman I just have a question What is the criteria for obtaining Drinks on Us Everywhere?

We get free rooms and Drinks while playing in the casino but never DOU everywhere

It is a casino offers and the casino marketing bots use marketing demographics to determine offers.  Try buying CHEERS a few times with the DOU.

I honestly don't know what the criteria is for DOU everywhere.  All of my offers include DOU everywhere, all of them include myself and companion except for this one which is just for myself.  Unfortunately I didn't realize this until after I booked.  Elite offers start Tuesday, if this cruise qualifies I will rebook with Elite benefits

We started getting the DOU everywhere once we booked an Elite which comes with that benefit.  Now we only book offers with everywhere and that’s most of our offers except Ultras which we never book.

Or maybe try spending a bit more in the casino? The reason I say that is because my DW's offers all include DOU Everywhere whereas the ones I receive are only while in casino. The only difference between her cruise history and mine is that she plays more and I drink more 🙂

It isn't the only difference.  Variances include who is the lead guest, who's card is using, who has a more prominent internet presence that the marketing bots see, etc.

DOU everywhere for both named and other cruisers comes at a high cost in casino. IMHO, it costs more in gambling than simply buying cheers.

Not if you were going to enjoy gambling as entertainment anyway.  You might as well enjoy the perks.

 You can do this at guest services.  I have done it right after boarding.  It was quick and easy.  The CS person made a call (I presume to casino host) and typed in something and it was activated within 5 minutes of our request.
