Identity of Cruise Director, Concierge, etc.

Will be going on the NCL Spirit at the end of November. Went on her last year and had so much fun. The cruise director was Paul Scally. Does anyone know if he will be the cruise director for my upcoming cruise?

 

I believe Paul Scally is currently off ships. The current Spirit CD is Kyle Dodson and I believe he will be there until sometime in the new year unless something changes.

I could be mistaken (mixing up names), but I believe Paul Scally is the new CD for Epic starting with this week's cruise. I'm sure he was the one that was following around the CD when I was on the ship last week and did some events (Dancing with Epic Stars) to prepare for the switch.

I am wondering where Adrian Bica will be going after he returns from vacation. Preparing to book a cruise on Monday and will book according to where he will be. I heard he was returning to the Jewel on Nov 7, 2010 - does anyone know if this is true? Also trying to find out if Garreth will be returning to the Jewel as Casino Manager..

We have also had the pleasure of having Adrian as our concierge, and did hope he will be on the Jewel -- we are also sailing on 10/31 -- but I don't believe he is on board until mid-November.

 

Please join our roll call! We have a very active group, and are planning lots of activities on board, including a M & G, slot pull tournament and trick or treat for the kids on board!

Thank you soooo much for this Monty! Believe it or not, it's a make-it-or-break-situation for me, I will probably choose the Gem (never sailed on her) if Adrian isn't going to be on the Jewel. May I ask you one more favor? Could you see if Garreth will be aboard in November as the Casino Manager? Don't go out of your way, but perhaps the current concierge or you butler will know.. I'd really appreciate it! Have a GREAT time in the GV (I know you will)!

John was our butler last Sept on the Dawn. He was a great butler and from his e-mail to me, we're in good hands for this cruise.

This thread is the best source that I know of. It helps when you return from a cruise that you post the who's who from your cruise, most importantly when it hasn't been done for awhile on your ship. If you are particularly interested in one ship, like the Pearl, or a couple of specific staff members, like the hotel director, or cruise director, just ask. Many of the staff may change by the time you cruise, but keep monitoring this thread. If it gets out of date, and drifts off the front pages, just ask for an update. It's quite popular, last time I checked there were 46,960 hits.

 

I'd like to add to my previous update on the Epic, and note the two young ladies from Romania performing concierge duties are Maria Luca and Florentina Popa. I believe the VIP area, suites, etc., have their own.

I'm really sorry to hear he's left. He was the CD on my first cruise and set the bar pretty high. The CD I had this year was a disappointment and I was really hoping we'd run into John again next year on another NCL cruise. Oh well. Thanks for the updates!
