Hi All,

My wife and I would like to extend our wishes to The Members Of Our Large Cruise Critic Family (On Land, In Flight and/or At Sea) for A Very Healthy and Happy Thanksgving Day.

* May We Give Thanks For The Family And Friends We Are So Blessed To Have With Us. Especially Those That We Be Joining Us On This Most Special Day, But Also To Those Because Of Distance And Other Circumstances Will Not Beable To Do So.

* For Those That Have Gone Before Us, Especially Those We Have Recently Lost But Are So Cherished In Our Thoughts And Minds And Will Not Be Forgotten.

* We Thank Our Everlasting Creator For All That We Have Been Blessed With During Our Life.

* We Give Thanks For The Opportunity Of Meeting So Many Caring & Loving Members Of This Cruise Critic Family On Our Last Two Cruises. We Wish To Continue Our Togetherness With Them And All We May Meet On Future Voyages.

* And Special Thanks To The Members Of The Armed Forces (US & Foreign) Who Work And Sacrific Each And Everyday To Keep Peace & Harmony Throughout The World. We Thank Those Especially That Will Be Away From Their Families. We Pray To Keep Them Safe, And Allow Them To Return To Their Homes And Families.

We are forwarding our Thanksgiving Wishes at this time, because time will pass as quickly as it does on each and everyday, and with all the festive activities associated with it, we may not find the opportunity to visit this board as often as we would wish tomorrow.

What a nice thread!!!

We'd also like to pass along our warmest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to all the posters (and their families).

We've come to know (and cruise) with many of you... not only do we look forward to seeing you again sometime, but to making new friends on these DAM ships. :)

Dear Ed and Bev (Eslo):

A very warm thanks to you for your kind and generous wishes:) May your own Thanksgiving be full of good food, good company, and good times!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our fellow readers and posters on this board who celebrate that day tomorrow. May you have a wonderful, restful, joyful time with family and friends. If you are one of those hard-working souls who provide services that are always needed (medical personnel, police, fire, military, airline personnel, etc.) who must be on the job tomorrow, we extend our thanks to you above all.

Ed and Karin and family

We have so many things for which we can be thankful, even if we face difficulties on a daily basis. One of them is our ability to cruise. We are in a minority, so far as the world is concerned. We are blessed with resources, whether bountiful or minimal, that allow us to do what we love.

Thank you, Ed and Bev, for starting this thread. May it serve to remind us how blessed we truly are.

Very nice sentiments, but is the Cruise Critic board exclusively for people who celebrate Thanksgiving?

Hi Valerie (from New Zealand),

In answer to your question, absolutely not. However, Thanksgiving is a cherished Holiday here where we take time to give thanks for all the blessings we have. Of course, in doing so we also eat too much wonderful food, drink more than is good for us, etc., but there is honestly a great feeling of thanksgiving throughout the country. Canada also celebrates Thanksgiving, but theirs was last month. It more than likely dates back to the U.K.'s Harvest Celebration where thanks were given for a great crop year.

Just think, we are all giving thanks for your friendship - so what's wrong with that?:D

Happy thanksgiving everyone, have a wonderful day and thanks so much for your friendship - I really appreciate it.

Valerie (from San Diego):)

Dear ekerr19,

Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Yes, CC is a large family that helps each other out. Thru your postings, you made it easy for us to know the Noordam so well before our recent cruise. It was like knowing the ship before walking onboard.

Thank you.......
