We have just about finished packing. We have changed our style of packing after the last few weeks to reflect changes in our lifestyles....

Picked up a covered U Haul which the Explorer will be able to tow without any problems today. Got a covered one this time just incase we run into a storm driving to Ft Lauderdale tomorrow. Never know what you will run into during an 8 (eight) hour trip (Orlando to Ft Lauderdale) (224 miles)..

We packed reasonably this time:

SLIPPERS:

RUTH is taking Eore, Tigger, White Cat, Snow Dog, Whinney the Pooh, Tweety, Red Doy, and Scooby Doo.

Jim is taking Peppy Le Pew, Whinney the Pooh, Tweety, Marvin Martian, Daffy Duck, Dog with Hat, Scooby Doo, Red Dog, Tan Dog, Snow Dog, and Tazmanian Devil.

ESSENTIALS:

1 3.5 KW Generator with extension cords (3) and 5 gallon gas can. Need extension cords for her four hair dryers and 3 curlers. Never know when one will break.

2 cases MRE's Kitchen may run out of food.

2 cases bottled water for Ruth and 1 bottle JAck Daniels for Jim - Hurricane Fluid supplies to prevent dehydration.

2 large blue tarps in case ceiling starts to leak and we have to tarp the roof.

4 flashlights (waterproof) and 3 sets of extra batteries.

1 Hurrican tracking chart.

2 battery operated radios with extra batteries.

1 lap top computer for Jim to play his games on (and check out other websights)

1 Portable cd TV player for Ruth to watch her DVD on

5 credit cards with no balance on them (all in Jim's possession). I may be dumb but I am not stupid.....

1 wheelchair/shopping cart (she goes into town in the chair and then transitions it to a shopping cart/walker for the return trip

MEDICATIONS:

Heart pill

Diarrhea Medications

Constipation Meds

Sea sickness meds

Sleeping Pills

Hangover pills

Oxygen bottles

Nitroglycerine tablets (for jewlery store trip at St. Thomas)

*****

Cialis

Got Iron and Testosterone shots from doctor today

Antacids (for when she shops)

Xanax (for when I see credit card receipts)

Industrial strength air wicks (for trip down)

Ear plugs (Ruth talks a lot when we drive)

Depends

SUITCASES:

Jim 3. 1 1/2 for slippers, 1 for medications, 1/2 for clothes.

Ruth 8. God only knows what she puts in these things. It takes two men and a boy to lift each one. When I ask if she really needs all this I am told to shut up and put them in the trailer. Being a good husband I say "YES DEAR".

Empty 3. She says she needs these for the shopping she is going to do to replace some of the items destroyed in the storms.

As you can tell Ruth has not changed her travel habits for the storm. She says that there is no reason to be miserable on a trip and she says she will need everything that she has packed. Could one of you women please explain why she needs five (5) formal outfits when there is only two formal nights. She has spent 8 hours packing and is still not done.

On the other hand it took me 5 minutes to open a suitcase throw some things into it sit on it and zip it up. If it isn't in there I will not need it. THE MALE MENTALITY.

Again thank all of you for your well wishes. We really need this trip and plan to enjoy it and relax, relax, relax.

Will post a review tomottow night of the trip to Ft. Lauderdale.
