Melbourne Cup wasn't a 'deal'...it was a pricing error

Yes I'm sure you're right but with almost 1500 members interested in finding the HOT AUSSIE CRUISE DEAL each day many of us were able to take advantage of the "error" obtaining an extended balcony for a SINGLE for the lowly price of just $492.

If there were 2 of you going then you had to book 2 cabins! As some have pointed out, the stewards will have lots of empty cabins to service for the 6 days! LOL!

The price for a single now in the same category is well over $4000! I wonder if some Carnival employee was given the DCM (Don't Come Monday) award this morning!

Actually I'm not sure it was much more than that when we booked, I know balcony and minis are still about the same as 4 months ago.

Lots of advertising on TV for prominent cruise specialists. Had a look and they are offering Obstructed view on Emerald deck for $3381pp for 33 days Circumnavigation on Diamond. Phoned Princess and the best they can offer is over $1000 more and not interested in the fact that someone else is selling so much cheaper.

How can prominent cruise specialist offer this price?

RCL new website is up. Make sure anyone who is over 55 ticks the seniors box. Not sure if it applies to many cruises but I ticked it for a cruise I am keeping an eye on and it currently gets you a $440 discount on the balcony price. It also was about $360 for OV and $180 for insides.

While senior discounts are very common in the USA I have never noticed one applied to a cruise here and as such never normally bother ticking it. I only did so due to the new website format.

Cant be combined with C&A balcony discounts which were worth $325 on this cruise.

Thanks for the "heads up" re ticking over 55 box!

I love the graphics on the new site but the search options are very clunky I found! Guess I'll get used to them eventually!

In the meantime I'm going to online cruise agents to check prices! So much easier!

If I see something interesting then I try finding the same cruise on Royal's site!

I'm sad, I saw this great error but I am already booked on a cruise then. I would have been all over it.:D

I was booked on another cruise too but will either be allowing my second passenger to take it over with a new person or will cancel before penalties & get a full refund!

Either way it's still win/win I reckon!

Great value for singles! Less than $84 per night if you tick over 55 box & are a Crown & Anchor member!

Explorer of the Seas!

16 nights bottom end to Sydney via NZ!

Gaechann you are a bargain fiend! I am also looking for something cheap in May 2016. I want to be cruising on 20 May for my "big" birthday. At the moment the Carnival cruise at that time is their most expensive of the season ($1690 for 12 nights) :( Let me know if you find anything.
