Time to Say Goodbye to OASIS for a little while

They don't have a long time to do this so wondering if it will all get finished in time.

We just got off the 2 day cruise. When waiting in Suites to board the ship, a few contractors were seated behind us. We saw some measuring and a few clusters of gentleman discussing construction, while onboard. My guess is that work will start during the transatlantic on some things. ;)

We just returned on Saturday. Concierge told us that diamond lounge will be moved to deck 4. Izumi will be made bigger. Concierge lounge will be moved to Viking crown area. Cabins will be added. They don't have a long time to do this so wondering if it will all get finished in time.

Interesting to hear all the different 'stories'. We also returned on Saturday and were told D lounge would remain, Izumi will move to deck 4, CL will become cabins and new location will be where Dazzles is now and VCL will become cabins. And that some work would be done to prepare dining room to accommodate Dynamic Dining.

The challenge is on for those on the next few cruises to find out the 'truth' about what will happen ;)

Will miss seeing Lady O on the webcam every Saturday.

Same here especially my DS (5). He loves to watch it sail away and always tries to find our cabin we are in on our November cruise. BTW, where is the dry dock being done? Thought I saw it said Rotterdam? What country is that in?

This solves our mystery. :D We were sitting on Pompano Beach watching a behemoth vessel overtake what seemed like a yacht, but was a cruise ship being dwarfed by it. Now we know what the big bully that blowed the other ship away was. :p We saw her sitting in PE on our way there, but didn't expect her to cruise north.

oh wow! that has come around so quick. I remember when the transatlantic and European itins were announced and thinking it was ages away.

9 days at sea in a row - ooooh dunno if i could cope with that!

It ever there was a ship that I could do this one, this would be the one. If you ever wanted to do the total scuba certification process while on board and not miss your vacation, this would be a good one.

Take care and hope all have a safe voyage.

Too think in just shy of 333 days we will be on her.

Cannot wait.

After sailing the Allure, I wonder what new upgrades the Oasis class ship will have done.

Sea Ya

Sue,

Myself along with 26 family members and friends will be on her 8/1/15, as well.:)

I could do 9 days on the Oasis too and never be bored.

There will be a live blog on Oasis 18th and 23rd September...... taking her to dry dock. This will be a bit of a blog with a difference. No spoilers.

I have always enjoyed reading your blogs.

You do them well........and I am sure this will exceed my usual expectations.

Thanks ahead of time.

Really looking forward to this one.
