Transfers from FLL to Port Hotels

What is the best way to get from FLL to Hotels near Port Everglades - Taxi or Shuttle?

Stand by for this thread to be moved to the Florida Departures board where there is endless discussion of how cheap and plentiful taxis are. Should be less than $20 fare to most hotels near the port so no need to engage a shuttle that charges per head rather than per ride.

A lot of people recommend using taxis. But being a group of 6 adults with a lot of luggage we thought a shuttle might be the best for us. We chose to book a private shuttle with All Service Shuttle in Fort Lauderdale. They had a great rate of $6 per person.

Yes! there is plentiful and endless supply of cheap taxis's.

Many hotels have free shuttle pick up. It woks.

We took a taxi to the Holiday Inn Express which is near the port. Inexpensive taxi trip and nice hotel.

Taxi FLL to ES should be under $15 - have a good cruise! :)

If you stay the Embassy Suites, they have a special cruise deal. For $28 more than the room only rate, you get a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and hotel to the ship for 2 people.

Do they go to Miami Port?

Its the same as their charge at the hotel last time we were there.

We used http://www.fgcarservices.com/contact.php last Feb. for our family of 6 and plan on using them again this coming Feb. They did an excellent job both pre and post cruise.

This is basically the same cost as doing taxis. You may need to make other pier stops, wait for others to load and unload the shuttle etc. Choose a cab and go on your schedule.;)
