Black Diamond Crown & Anchor Society Tier???

Recommended Posts

Just got off Freedom last week and noticed something peculiar at checkin. Usually there is a "priority line" for Suites & Pinnacle Club and a priority line for D+, D, P, etc.

When boarding the Freedom last week, in the Pinnacle Club & Suite line was also listed "Black Diamond." Is that a new tier in the C&A Society program?? Any info is appreciated.

you may have spied the new tier that these boards have been postulating about for almost 6 months now. There was a rumor that RCI was going to add another tier between D+ and P...now we know. It's called Black Diamond but we don't know yet how many points are needed to attain it.

Wasn't this the same port were we first heard about Pinnacle before it was announced ?

Did you by any chance take a pic of the sign ?

I have not heard of that.

I do seem to recall that before "Emerald" was announced as a new level, CC posters saw it on signage in at least one port (?Baltimore, maybe), so it is possible, I suppose.

Somehow it sounds to me more like a casino VIP moniker than a frequent cruiser category.

That fiasco happened at the Port of Baltimore on December 27, 2010 and we were there. Hubby tried to take a picture and almost ended up in the naughty room!!

 bad Jim :D

Someone got a photo though didn't they ?

Yes it was posted and the person who posed it was accused of doing a photo shop on it.

It wasn't Radio as he wasn't on our cruise. It only was up for a few hours that day and then was put away.

I found the thread that discussed new levels..Emerald & Pinnacle...and JC posted the photo of the sign ..on behalf of another member who didnt know how to post pics...but sadly the link to the pic doesn't work now...(was probably on webshots or somewhere).

So now I guess we wait for C&A to make a big announcement ? LOL LOL LOL LOL ...sorry LOL LOL

Here is the sign that was set up on December 27, 2010 when we entered the Port of Baltimore terminal.

Nice work Patti. :D

Do you think they put these signs out on purpose just to see if anyone notices?

...testing the reaction so to speak.

Thanks Liz. Jim found it in his photo's.

No, they were not supposed to put the new sign out until after the announcement on January 21, 2011. So, somebody got a little over anxious.:p

I don't even like the sound of Black Diamond!!

Sounds like something linked to MGM.

I don't either. I'd have preferred a name like Sapphire :), or maybe Tanzanite :p

I could live with a Black Diamond tier. I already own a Black Diamond edition Avalanche and another black diamond association would be OK. However, with only a little over 400 points, the truck might be a little old by the time I get to that level.

would the points required for BD be 500?

Until an official announcement is made by C&A, there is no reason to discuss a wanna be new level!:D

It's bad enough that they can get what is currently included in each Tier Level under Member's Benefits correct.

Right now there is no balcony discounts for Pinnacle Club Members. Me thinks that they had better get that straightened out before adding another level to the mix.
