Which is worse--next to elevators or under the casino?

DH talked to our PVP today about our upcoming trip. The room we had originally booked was under the casino and I wasn't terribly happy about that because I'm concerned that the noise would keep us up all night.

So the PVP found us another room (a slight upgrade, but worth it IMO)...and it's next to an elevator bank, he says.

So which is worse? Being next to the elevators or under the casino?

Left side which us even will not be niisy being under the casino...which is carpeted

Under the casino is worse IMO.

I have been by the elevator a few times. Never a problem at all. That would get my vote.

I will take the stateroom near the elevator provided above and below are staterooms.

Like Serene56 I love the area around the aft elevator two down from the Lido.

I like being by the elevator, it's easier to get to the rest of the ship and I've never noticed any extra noise.

We're on deck 1 with an ocean view, so I don't know what's below us. I know above us is more state rooms.

DH is also concerned about the rocking, since we typically book rooms on either deck 6 or 7. I told him it shouldn't be a problem, but we can ask my mom what she thinks after she comes back from her January cruise (she'll be on deck 2, different ship though).

I'd much rather be near the elevators than under the casino. I have been near elevators several times and it was no problem at all, and quite handy to be so close.

Being near elevators has never bothered me.

I always get cabins that are by the elevators!

We prefer rooms close to the elevators.

Under the casino is much worse.

Another vote for next to elevator. I always try to book as close to elevator as possible. Have never had any kind of noise from elevator.

If you're by elevators near casino I would avoid it. Smoke has tendency to drift down stairwells and elevator shafts to the near by cabins.

I still cruise for Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (with 2 sugar-free vanilla ice-creams)

We had a cabin that backed up to the elevators and never heard a peep from them or people using them. We went up 2 floors and were right at the entrance to the Lido buffet. Best location ever.

We have always been close to the elevators because of mobility issues (plus they are everywheres really) and never had a problem. The casino has to be loud during the later evening, everyone yelling as they lose.

It seems like a no brainer! We always try to get close to the elevators, so convenient and I have never had it be noisy. Have a great time. Cruising is the best way to travel.:D

We ALWAYS book cabins next to the elevators because of the convenience. We've never had any issues either, except for cabin 299 on the Fantasy. Right behind this cabin are the elevator motors and you can hear them run all night long! So stay away from this particular cabin.

That's Hubs' opinion too. :) We've taken two cruises a year for the last couple of years and we're splurging on the 7 day for Spring Break because it's going to be hard for him to take time off this summer.

You will have less rocking on the lower decks. It will be nice and quiet where you are now.
