  1. What a pleasure to see a positive review. Thank you for your time in writing it.
  2. It's easy. Pay the gratuities or don't cruise.
  3. I was in the center SV on the Beyond on deck 10, and loves it. Two lounges, two chairs, and a small table.
  4. depending on the ship. Quantum class you can go to 270 for "free" drinks. The bistro in the solariums on most ships also have drinks.
  5. I can't understand why they can't be like Princess. When we book, and it's always on line, the military OBC shows up automatically. We don't have to do anything. Princess remembers. On Celebrity, it just asks if we are military when booking, and it adds the military discount, not OBC, but you see it on the booking conformation. HAL is way out on this.
  6. They have open seating for breakfast and lunch. It just means there are no set tables, and they will seat you where ever. My time is for dinner and you come whenever you want, but you might have to wait for a table, depending on the time. Advance reservations arerecommended.
  7. I had no problem with the Alaska prices for this year, and I'm booked on the Ovation next year at a little over $3000.00 for 2 in a balcony. In 2025, that goes for another thousand. No wonder they're making record profits.
  8. I use Chrome, and haven't had any problems.
  9. I heard a lot of double talk. We'll see if there are any meaningful changes. We know prices aren't going down, but, at these price points, the food, at least, should be head and shoulders over the competition. At this time, it isn't, and that's on her shoulders.
  10. I just priced a cruise on the Quantum for Alaska, 2025, and it's just about $1000.00 higher than the cruise on the Ovation booked, same dates in 2024 with a better itinerary. I guess after this cruise, I can cross Royal off my list, which is a shame since I'm diamond. The cruises are in September, and I booked the Ovation almost 1 year ago.
  11. I think booking on board has different rules
  12. you're trying to compare 18% pool gratuity to a $1 or $2.00 cash individual gratuity. It isn't the same.
  13. Same here. We go to the solarium for relaxing. No kids at all.
  14. Our last cruise on the Beyond, the e-docs were available at 25 days.
  15. On board will be at LEAST 15% more, which is the service charge. Most of the time they're more plus the 15%.
  16. You can't compare MSC's entertainment with Celebrity. They cater to entirely different clientele. The comparisons would be with NCL, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. All three have better and more diverse entertainment, IMO.
  17. I doubt they'll be going to Israel until 2025 at the earliest.
  18. I haven't had on of their supposed discounts in years. State, Military, C&A. Nothing
  19. January is great. 99% adults, and lower rates. The weather isn't usually any problem in the Caribbean.
  20. The reason should be fairly obvious. You probably get a different table and wait staff each night with my time, as opposed to set dining where the table and wait staff are the same. People are less likely to opt out of daily gratuities if the have the same people for an entire cruise.
  21. I've never seen price reductions for the YC, other than on the Divina when MSC first started North America. Then they were giving free upgrades to get people talking about the experience. Well, it worked. The YC pricing has more than doubled since then, and they continue to fill up. Nobody does their version of the YC better. That's my opinion.
  22. I wouldn't be open to the icon, but have sailed all the other classes and definitely would again pending pricing. I would sail the Oasis, Harmony, or Symphony before the Wonder, because i don't want to pay the new ship premium.
