  1. I didn't receive a single email either for my 12/2 Viva cruise. Watched the video once at the 21 day check-in and that was it.
  2. You will get 2 speciality dinners for 2, one with a bottle of wine included (from a special wine list). You will reserve the restaurant and take your vouchers with you to give to the hostess when checking in. If there are no restaurants to book online, I would call or use chat to see what you can book now. If nothing is available for the time you want, then book first thing once on board.
  3. Just be aware it could be cold until you get down past Cabo. No one expects SoCal to be cold but one of the coldest days I was ever on a ship was the sea day between Cabo and LA on the Bliss in May.
  4. Enjoying your review but a few corrections for those not familiar...if you have the FAS drink package, you can carry on as many bottles of wine as you want with no corkage fee. It is not limited to 2 anymore. And if you don't have the drink package, you should be charged the corkage fee, no matter where you drink the wine, so you got lucky. Honestly, with so many having the FAS package, I don't think they even bother with the corkage fee anymore.
  5. Was just going to say this...it's expensive to go thru the Canal. Alaska is expensive. Their season is just over 6 months or so plus goods and services are high. Those ports have to get what they can, while they can. $420 for 9 days sounds pretty reasonable to me.
  6. I have a photo saved on my desktop of my computer and upload it every time, first try. Never had an issue. I prefer using it because it is easier for me to see the screen than on my phone. Glad the app worked for you best. Enjoy your cruise!
  7. Just click the box that says 'cash' and you can give your credit card info at the port. And last week in Miami, no one even asked to see our bar code or edocs to enter the building or go thru security so I think you will be fine with the incomplete check-in online.
  8. I did a mock booking for this cruise, adding the 10% off coupon (solo cruiser) and then tried to add both of my CN certs. It would only accept one, with the disclaimer that only 2 vouchers could be used on one cruise. It was more cost effective for me to use the 2 CN certs than the 10% off. Still more than I want to pay so will wait until after final payment and reconsider booking, based on promos between now and end of summer and what is left of inventory (not really too picky on where I am on the ship).
  9. Your room steward will not tag your bag either. You do it prior to putting your bag outside the Cabin for the night.
  10. You pick up the color coded tags from guest services based on your time of disembarkation. Porters are not NCL employees and would not be on the ship the night before.
  11. Midori was available on the Viva in the Penrose atrium bar and the Observation Lounge bar. Might have been in others but those are the only 2 where I specifically saw people order drinks with it.
  12. Are they the forward facing OV or the ones on deck 5? If you can get a forward facing one, they are much larger than a typical inside. I don't believe any of them have a couch in the older ships. I don't like to be that low on a ship and depending on the location, you will have deck 6 right above you, which could result in noise.
  13. We walked all around that area on embarkation day and it was empty. If you checkin early (9:30) and get an early boarding pass, or are high latitudes level, you should be fine.
  14. We had a difficult time deciding whether to go to Rumours or Beetlejuice. Ended up going to Beetlejuice and loved it. Great energy and hilarious. The GM told us that this sailing is the only one where reservations are not being taken for the main theater shows. No plans to do that permanently. Went to the 10pm showing and everyone got in. Two other changes from the Prima is no Starbucks or Cocos in Indulge so extra seating and the stateroom beds are a little higher, so luggage fits under easier.
  15. Today in the Gen Pop it was handicapped, Diamond and Sapphire, then Platinum. I believe Priority came after that. We were onboard at 11am (Sapphire). Deck 16 cabin was ready at 1pm.
  16. We did Greece the first week of November in 2021 and the weather was perfect. As mentioned above, less crowds, especially in Santorini, was wonderful.
  17. I am Onda all the way. I have only had what I consider a great meal at La Cucina once and that was on the Jade. The bread at Onda is amazing and there is a white pizza that is crazy good. Food is so objective so you will get many fans of both restaurants.I can't wait to be on the Viva next week and go to Onda.
  18. I don't think Epic sails in Alaska...better check your booking.
  19. They aren't sending the additional emails anymore. But you may have to watch it on your stateroom TV once.
  20. Thanks for posting this menu. I have some NR OBC that I think I will use here.
  21. Not everyone has large family get togethers for the holidays.
  22. No, the pass will not be cheaper once onboard and it is very possible it will sell out before you get on board. On occasion (usually a sea day), they will sell a day pass for anywhere from $59-89 for one but there is no guarantee they will have them available. I have never seen a 2 or 3 day pass. The Thermal Spa is a very popular place.
