    Civitavvecchhia isn’t the OP’s final EU port so the lack of a VAT refund office there doesn’t matter. Ponta Delgada, Azores, is where the VAT refund would need to be processed.

    You cannot do the VAT refund until you are in your last EU port. It can’t be done ahead of time.

    Is Rome your last stop in the EU? I don’t see any transatlantic cruises that go straight from Rome to the US. They all have stops in other EU countries. So you would not claim the VAT in Civitavechhia. You do that in the last EU port you visit.

    Drinks in the Retreat are included. Elsewhere throughout the ship, they are not unless you purchased a beverage package.

    Fill out the special-needs form and they will bring you an extension cord so you can use your heating pad. It’s generally not a problem at all.

    “never left behind” isn’t entirely accurate. Ships have been known to have unusal reasons to leave on schedule, tides, incoming weather, port disruptions…..

    because the two islands are so close, it’s likely that the ship would wait for you to return, since it would not cause them to be delayed in getting to Aruba. Another possibility in this specific case would be that you would be taken to Aruba where a tender would meet you and transfer you to the ship.

    Others on holiday cruises are also seeing a lack of availability. Could be fully booked, could be short staffed so not accepting any more reservations.

    There are still many passengers who are surprised when they find out what the room configuration is. They may like it or not but at least should know that they aren’t getting a balcony. honestly, if Celebrity had just named them something other than Infinite VERANDAH they could have saved a lot of trouble

    Yes twice a day unless you OPT in to the Go Green program, then its once a day. No difference in regular stateroom or suite
