well this is nice to see as they did not have any back in April of 2022. All the other Oasis has some chairs back there, but Wonder did not. Funny on Oasis, they were wooden and tied down to the railings along the Aquatheater.

it is always popular but remember last year they had to deal with Canada and that Arrivcan which turned a lot of folks off

I hear ya. On NCL so many folks show up at 10am or 10:30 that NCL really keeps a lot open until 11:15 If a cruise has a lot of families with teenagers or drinking crowd, then breakfast in later hours will be crowded. But on ships with older folks like HAL, they are used to getting up early and so the buffet will be more crowded at 8-9 time slot.

welcome and I loved the photo when I took it and it is fun to watch Northstar in the various positions. I think being up in Northstar won't really get you much closer to the ice. I too have done Anthem in 2016 and early in the year it went to both sides for FREE. Then folks complained that not everyone got on. hmmm I guess my 9 day cruise had no issues. And we had dynamic dining that I loved too.

If I had seen you I would have said "hmm looks good". Most folks like to make a comment. thing is, when back in room if you are not going to eat it all, best to have a container of zip lock. BTW, that dark chocolate stuff does look good

the rule to follow is when you see a cruise you like and a room you like, grab. Then keep an eye on a look for reductions. But Alaska is popular so get the ship and the room you want and settle for the price.

I did Ovation in 2019 and only went on Northstar when in port. When the ship was in the glacier area, it was actually cool to have a photo of the Northstar and glaciers.

oh yea I do agree. on land a lot of places let you take dessert to go.

I wanted to eat in one of the MDR on my last cruise in Aqua class, and when I showed up they asked me rather perplexed why I wanted to eat in MDR. I told them that this night their menu was more appealing. They still shook their head and mentioned that Aqua class is supposed to eat in blu. hmmm I just smiled and so not me not tonight. table please.

over at RCI, Capt Rob was the takeout captain for Symphony as well as Wonder. In his talk, he said headquarters kinda of begged him and gave him a deal he could not pass up. Also, I think Captain Bill Wright the original Oasis captain also took out first Voyager class ship. It is a 6 month contract and a lot of work and some stress.

me thinks the answer is still NOPE not even for 2024. just my opinion. 2025 perhaps

no I meant with pricing going up and cutbacks, I was able to get Wish a lot cheaper for next year. Nothing to do with NCL but my point was this year is expensive so try next year when itineraries first come out. BTW Carnival has some expensive pricing once you search. They have tier pricing on every deck.

oh just general walking around the port area. You can see a statue from 2010 Olympics and also walk down to gaslight area.

i agree no need to be in a suite when interior rooms are nice and you will have more money for other things. And the new ships will be expensive so wait a couple of years. I booked the DCL Wish for next year and the price is about $900 less for same type of room and for 1 more day.

well good for him, but I did suggest how to move on and to try something else. CCL is a good line and has many good offerings in food and entertainment. And do not look now, but MSC is on the move. very competitive environment in the cruising world so I for one do not believe in loyalty to any one. I do have a cruise line that I won't go on again due to something in fine print that I did not see and lost my deposit.

i am not just do not agree with the hatred on CCL when they have come a long way.

she is practically the only ship that does it. Perhaps one other new one. Most no longer do the song which I enjoy

oh the new ships are nice in buffet area they have at lunch 5 tier cakes that are gorgeous and taste good. I had chocolate and green tea. OH and no hard beds on Carnival. You should try some of the new ships just once. You might be surprised.
