I did Ovation in 2019 and only went on Northstar when in port. When the ship was in the glacier area, it was actually cool to have a photo of the Northstar and glaciers.

oh yea I do agree. on land a lot of places let you take dessert to go.

I wanted to eat in one of the MDR on my last cruise in Aqua class, and when I showed up they asked me rather perplexed why I wanted to eat in MDR. I told them that this night their menu was more appealing. They still shook their head and mentioned that Aqua class is supposed to eat in blu. hmmm I just smiled and so not me not tonight. table please.

over at RCI, Capt Rob was the takeout captain for Symphony as well as Wonder. In his talk, he said headquarters kinda of begged him and gave him a deal he could not pass up. Also, I think Captain Bill Wright the original Oasis captain also took out first Voyager class ship. It is a 6 month contract and a lot of work and some stress.

no I meant with pricing going up and cutbacks, I was able to get Wish a lot cheaper for next year. Nothing to do with NCL but my point was this year is expensive so try next year when itineraries first come out. BTW Carnival has some expensive pricing once you search. They have tier pricing on every deck.

oh just general walking around the port area. You can see a statue from 2010 Olympics and also walk down to gaslight area.

i agree no need to be in a suite when interior rooms are nice and you will have more money for other things. And the new ships will be expensive so wait a couple of years. I booked the DCL Wish for next year and the price is about $900 less for same type of room and for 1 more day.

well good for him, but I did suggest how to move on and to try something else. CCL is a good line and has many good offerings in food and entertainment. And do not look now, but MSC is on the move. very competitive environment in the cruising world so I for one do not believe in loyalty to any one. I do have a cruise line that I won't go on again due to something in fine print that I did not see and lost my deposit.

she is practically the only ship that does it. Perhaps one other new one. Most no longer do the song which I enjoy

oh the new ships are nice in buffet area they have at lunch 5 tier cakes that are gorgeous and taste good. I had chocolate and green tea. OH and no hard beds on Carnival. You should try some of the new ships just once. You might be surprised.

go on Carnival and you can get Guy's burgers which are very good and free. Always hot and tasty with great fries.

agree, now I did like BLU on Celebrity, but not worth the price of Aqua Class.

no RCI is not the Walmart of the seas. RCI does a very good job of food for their ships. However this past week, on cc, almost every line is suddenly having threads about food. Seems to be the industry or perhaps folks who were pent up at home during covid got used to their own cooking and now not happy on any ship.

only Miami and Ft Lauderdale hotels have shuttles to port as they are within 4 miles or less and a lot more traffic in quantity of ships too.

just have to walk up as they do not like to answer phones that much. I was disappointed in CK on Oasis. Ate there once and decided to not go again. Service was good but food was just okay.

and these are the same reasons I do the same on whatever ship I am on. I hate the descriptions of the MDR menu at times and I hate the small portions too. I always have found the managers in buffet areas more attentive because in the MDR they appear to intimidate the crew at times and also more concerned with ratings.
