  1. I have been out of this port many times. Less than a handful of times the seas were 'rough' and I didn't think it was bad. Take meclizine the night before just in case.
  2. I think people vastly underestimate stupid. If you accept stupid, you will be much less stressed when stupid happens.
  3. One time people a couple doors down took my arriving luggage out of the hallway and couldn't open it because it has a (TSA) lock on it. (And a colorful marker.) So they called "security" onboard to open it. A crew member came and cut the lock off and then they saw it wasn't their luggage. Sometimes it's just impossible to avoid stupid.
  4. Their sommeliers know two words: "Kendall-Jackson". No matter what I asked for: "We have Kendall-Jackson." :What about Kendall-Jackson?" Even the amenity in my room (I chose something else) was Kendall-Jackson.
  5. Was it an OBC or did you use the BOA credit to reduce your cruise price? I can see they might not offer a price adjustment if you did that. I do not understand no adjustments for adding OBC to your booking.
  6. Just off a Liberty 9 night and the D HH snacks were not that appealing. The cheese part was fine but the hot appetizers were lower quality than usual. Some type of ground meat ball every night, or salmon balls, or 'fish cakes'. One night there were salmon cakes and fish cakes. Served with the same chili sauce and bbq sauce as usual. Soggy quesadillas. Lukewarm mozzeralla sticks. There was some cut up hot dog thing that was terrifying. They are trying to make us not want the snacks and it's working. And no mudslide cookies anywhere 😞
  7. For reference, same sailing, I am in an OV balcony and got RU offers of JS 145pp minimum, GS 195pp, and 2 BR GS 245pp. There was also a spacious balcony option but I forgot the amount. I'm surprised they didn't give me higher minimums since I paid $1900 all in for a balcony. I did not win any bids (I bid just over minimum) but I saw several people on the fb group going from JS to higher suites. Then just yesterday someone went from spacious balcony to JS. I think your chance of getting a suite upgrade is better if you are already in a suite.
  8. Since you started this thread in roll calls, I just wanted you to know that there is already a roll call for this sailing that you can post on. It is currently on page 2 of the Liberty roll calls. This particular question will probably be answered better here. My opinon on crowding in Bermuda: there is enough to do that people will spread out on the island, even when two big ships are in port. If you read through this forum you will find lots of info about things to do.
  9. Pete's Historic Walking Tour is cheap and gets good reviews. It's about 2 hours. Reviews on Trip Advisor. When we were last there we went to Cask and Kettle for lunch (they have outdoor seating if it's nice out) and walked to the city market which was fun. Overall there is not a ton of stuff to do there, but you can have a pleasant day with little effort.
  10. At least you won't be forced into Night 2 for the second restaurant. A lot of people like to eat in the MDR on night 2.
  11. Last week of August, first week of September, something is always going on.
  12. So they want you to bid more on a lower category stateroom? Sounds like a mistake.
  13. 6/10 Less choices overall, but the bigger factor is that proteins are a lesser quality than ever. Something can look good on the menu but when you get it, it's very disappointing. I get them serving less vegetables as a lot of people just do not eat them. You can always order more of whatever, but I often just give up and move on to WJ or get a voucher martini to ease the pain. If you can get a good cruise price it's tolerable but that is becoming more difficult.
  14. I am sure the success of this varies among ships and crew members, but if they tell me they can't do it oh well, I'll go to WJ.
  15. When you go to book, only choose one person for the reservation. Then go through the checkout process. If you choose two people, no, it will not discount one at checkout. When you get onboard, tell them you have two people and you want to use your BOGO. They will either just use the charge for the one you have booked and paid for already, or they will rebook the reservation at the onboard price for two and discount the second person. I just did this for day 1. I wasn't going to try for day 2 until I was onboard because I wanted to see if I could get day 2 for another day of the cruise. If you do want to choose day 2 in advance, use the other person to book the second reservation.
  16. Did you try doing it online? I have a TA booked cruise with early dining, but I can click on the MTD option in the plan my cruise section.
  17. When we did early dining on LOS recently, it was very fast for a party of two. We would order and the food would come within minutes. They didn't even pause between courses; as soon as we finished, the next thing came. I kept telling them we were not in a rush but I think they try to move people out. OTOH there was a party of 8 next door with stragglers and they never started on time.
  18. I thought she was buying the deluxe package as well. I think it's because OP mentioned the two refreshment packages at the beginning, which gets 'package' in peoples' heads although it has nothing to do with what you are asking. I'm glad you're going to discourage it. A few alcholic drinks is not worth sneaking around and worrying about getting punished. If he's not worried, you have a different problem.
  19. Looks like Celebrity isn't currently going there at all. https://www.celebritycruises.com/ports/labadee-haiti
  20. I'm talking about the cruise rep who was pricing out a lower price. If he changed it to refundable on his screen, the price would be higher.
