  1. To assist… Crowds and the masses do not frequent COCO
  2. IMHO the best beach is COCO. Great ambiance, peaceful, excellent food/drinks, comfortable beds and genteel clientele. Link - https://www.cocobeach.restaurant - Gallery - https://www.cocobeach.restaurant/gallery Pass on Great Bay as it’s far too busy. The masses find it attractive, because it can be walked (or ferry or low shared taxi fare) from ship.
  3. Take a tour with the best…. Suggest the tour with a visit to the distillery. You’ll need nothing else…. Enjoy
  4. Cunard only state, there is a corkage fee for wine and champagne consumed in dining room. There is no mention of Vodka… However, if one feels the need to be the first to attempt to extend the boundaries, one is free to do so when onboard, then do post the Cunard Sommelier’s and the MD’s comments.
  5. Best beach for one’s pocket can be found from the selection on Resort Pass (Day Pass) https://www.resortpass.com/hotel-day-passes/San-Juan-903
  6. Wish one luck, because this table for 2 (numbered xxx) may have been a four split to make 2x2’s retaining the original table for 4 number xxx. Try asking on a QV site for a CC member currently onboard to check.
  7. Personal favourites https://www.tidesbarbados.com - shabby chic dining excellence https://champersrestaurant.com - upmarket setting and dining excellence
  8. Sorry to interrupt, but just noted in passing. Yes…. Do agree with the Cava suggestion….. Think the onboard offerings are for constructed for the cruise market or for spraying, not for one’s palate to enjoy.
  9. Sorry, wrong operator…. My bad… wrong island https://www.karamboletoursmartinique.com/en-GB/
  10. Cabs can give one a whistle stop tour with beach drop off. The only beach one can recommend on St Kitts is at The Marriott, but they only offer day passes. Or Sunshine’s on Nevis, but this involves not taking a St Kitts tour.
  11. Cab will take one on a short tour, then drop at beach, being happy to return for a timed return to ship. Recommend COCO Beach - http://cocobeach.restaurant
  12. Contact…. The beast - http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com/islandtour.php Take the tour including the town, history, sights, then a distillery. Ask to be dropped off at a local beach, with a short cab ride back to one’s base.
  13. It’s safe and easy to take a cab, who will be happy to give one a tour to the beach, then a beach stop at Mero Beach, then a tour on way back to port.
  14. Lawrence offers, land then beach tours (after island tour), plus tours of multiple beaches (beach tour) etc. Check out the web - http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com/islandtour.php - IMHO the best.
  15. Best ask……. https://www.martinique.org/en/contact Also, place one’s reservation on the ship’s usual “WaitList”.
  16. So the venue is unable to actually make a pickup because one is not taking a cruise line offered tour, although pickup is offered to all independent travellers online. Strange…. Why not just take a cab $50/60 each way and purchase only entrance tickets online?
  17. Starboard Midships Deck 3 - Outside opposite B Stairway - then all starboard Forward to outside opposite Stairway A (Theatre). But when sailing the smell can be driven all the way to aft staterooms starboard side.
  18. Here’s a link to a previous thread with lower price point options
  19. So pleased one’s mind is put at rest… Note to self…. Don’t forget camera or phone… Ambience and views have to be recorded and shared. Discreet service excellence and pampering will be delivered. Enjoy
  20. Note to @Spencer71 Do consider a private (small boat) charter for about 5 or 6 hours to the Baths and cruise etc.. We (a party of 6) did this and it took all the timetable, taxi, queueing angst away and we enjoyed the day. This was 7/8 years ago paying about $800 all in, plus entry fees. Which included rum, sodas, beers and a light chicken salad lunch. Best to consult the inter-web for current charters and prices. Also, in no doubt CC members will give their recommendations.
  21. To assist… If taken the full Baths journey, then suggest the purchase of reasonably priced water/beach shoes, as one will be clambering up/down rocks and walking through waist high seawater with sand/stones under foot, and waves crashing between the rocks towards one’s party. Note to self…. Bring a waterproof backpack for towels and clothing…Before entering the Baths, do purchase a bottle of Virgin Spice Rum, because at the end of the Baths’ adventure, one will discover a small sandy beach with beautiful views. A good place to pass the bottle to toast each other and take it all in.
  22. Take a tour with http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com/islandtour.php Then Lunch at https://sheer-rocks.com - Book early to grab a front sea view table Or A circumnavigation sight seeing tour with a difference - Book in advance as space limited https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/
  23. Snorkel and beach day at Brewers Beach…. Take a cab - plenty available and price reasonable
