  2. another cruise line, Norwegian has their newest and greatest ship the Norwegian Viva doing port intensive itins out of san juan . looks like it is a market that carnival does not want to compete with

  4. that has not been my case. they are very clueless what ship time is, they dont know what that is. Tour operators always uses local port time in my experience, it seems to depend on the captain and the ports. i just got off the Venezia on the 12 day to the Southern Caribbean. Ship time only changed on daylight changing time, in some of the ports they was a 1 hour time difference

  6. i recently got back from a cruise that went to st kitts, there is 4 berths for ships. on my visit, it was a full day with all 4 ships. if needed, the port does provide a golf cart to go from the pier to the terminal area
  7. i also noticed quirky accounting with shore excursions and port changes. it never makes sense. i got lucky one cruise when i noticed they never backed the 50 dollars. i ended up with extra 50 dollar credit
